Pet care experience
I have dog sat multiple times with duties such as: walking, picking up poop, feeding morning and night, and administering medicine. For a few months, I volunteered at the humane society and walked/played with dogs there. I have also had dogs myself and have had to do the same duties all of my life. My family got a bassett hound, but I took care of him and I house trained (if you know basset hounds, you will know that they are very difficult to train) him. I am willing, and have, given dogs baths and will do basically anything that is needed of me!

Maiah does an excellent job caring for our pups. One of them is 15 and being able to have him in his home with loving care from Maiah makes it so much easier to leave!

Maiah has taken care of my Mini Daschund several times when I had to work on something and couldn't watch him. She did a great job and he loves her to this day. She would make a great dog or pet sitter for anybody.
I have trusted Maiah many times to take care of my 2 dogs while we were out of town. I know I can always count on her to take care of my babies. I don’t trust a lot of people to take care of my dogs, but I know Maiah will do everything in her power to keep them safe and happy while we are gone. 10/10 recommend you all to give Maiah the opportunity to take care of other people’s dogs! You won’t regret it.

If there are any medicines that I should be aware of, please let me know and tell me how your dog takes it (I say this because for some dogs I have to wrap pills in meat or mix it in their food). Also, if there are any special behaviors that I should watch out for or there is a certain way I should handle it, please let me know.
A typical day
I love playing catch with dogs. It is fun for the both of us. I am willing to walk around your neighborhood if that is what you prefer, but I also love walking at Noble Park on the Greenway trail and around downtown.

Availability
I am currently enrolled in a full-time schedule at college, but do not currently have a job. I also have orchestra practice Monday evening and Wednesday afternoon, so there are some times then that I am not available. I am willing to come and play with pets, walk them, or stay with them when needed, as long as it does not interfere with my schedule.
