Maggy sat for our 4 dogs and 1 cat last Thursday through Sunday. She showed up on time for our meet and greet and reassured me that she felt comfortable staying with a large group. While she was here on schedule when we left and kept me updated with what was going on at home on the first day, I don’t think she had the experience to really manage our group. We asked her to walk them in pairs for 30 minutes each on just 2 of the 4 days. She really struggled to put on their harnesses (they were sitting quietly but she didn’t know how to put on a harness) and because of the time it took to put one on, she was only able to walk 2 of the 4 dogs one day and for a shorter time than we asked because she had to go to work. She was back in the afternoon but still didn’t walk them. They also walk in specific pairs that I mentioned multiple times and included in our note and she ended up walking the wrong 2 together. Not the end of the world but I feel more comfortable when instructions are followed. We have cameras set up in the house (after a few bad experiences with dog sitters) and I felt Maggy’s tone was a little harsh at times. She didn’t seem to enjoy interacting with the dogs as much as she did with our cat and just seemed overwhelmed. Her communication with us did slow down as the days went on and she didn’t let me know when she left on the last day. Our animals are family and I always want them to feel safe, loved, and to be spoken to kindly. Our routine is so important and we’ve really had a hard time finding anyone on Rover that meets expectations. All in all, while we don't think Maggy was the best fit for our group, if you have a cat or a dog with a pretty simple routine, she will show up when she says, follow feeding instructions, and send a few pictures throughout the stay.

Maggy took care of my dogs for the past two years. She is extremely responsible and will take care of your dog like it is her own. She understands that it’s a family member. She always updated me via text when she dog sits at my place. Maggy is a wonderful dog carer.
