Pet care experience
For several years, we have fostered dogs and cats of all ages (from babies who needed to be bottle fed to old guys who just wanted to nap). Many of these animals have had special needs such as requiring medications, or being injured. We love all animals and are very experienced with all types of personalities. 3 of our 4 current pets are foster fails. We have 3 cats and 1 dog who thinks he’s a cat.

I cannot say enough good things about Fergus's stay with Maggie and her roommate Angela. Fergus has never been away from me for more than 10 days, and this time would be 17 days. The first few days were tough on him, Maggie and Angela due to his severe separation anxiety, but Maggie and Angela gave him special attention and love and got him through it. Over the next 2 weeks, I got pictures and videos of a happy and well cared for pup. Although he had always been fearful of other dogs, Maggie and Angela carefully introduced him to their foster dogs, and Fergus found new best friends! The pictures and videos showed him playing and smiling like I had never seen him before. If I ever need a sitter for Fergus in the future in Yakima, I will absolutely book with Maggie and Angela. They were the best thing for him and I am eternally grateful!
Maggie and Angela's care for our puppy was exceptional. Their dedication, attention to detail, and genuine love for animals truly shone through, and we couldn't be more appreciative. The updates and photos they sent us throughout his stay were not only reassuring but also heartwarming. They didn't just look after him; they welcomed him into their home and treated him like one of their own. (10 month birthday party!) Whenever we need to leave Huey in capable hands again they will be our first choice without hesitation.
This was Lucy 2nd time stay at Maggies, and for 2 weeks!! I think i missed her more than she missed me. 😁 They kept me updated with messages and pictures. Lucy has been in a good mood and a happy girl when i arrive to get her. Trusting Lucy with someone takes a lot for me, however i know she is genuinely loved and cared for when she stays with Maggi and/or Angie.

A typical day
We typically wake up, have a morning potty break, and then get breakfast. From there we let the dog guide the experience. High energy dogs spend a lot of time playing outside, whereas our older guys usually spend the day snuggling.

We both have full time jobs that are very flexible. There will always be somebody home or available. Weekends are the most open for us, but weekdays typically work as well.
