I've loved over thirty foster pups!
Pet care experience
I love dogs more than I love most people (just kidding, kind of)! For my tenth birthday, I begged for my own dog (Margo, the funniest Boston Terrier). I adopted my first dog as an adult, a Great Dane named Blue, when I was 22. Since then, we brought a husky/shepherd mix, Berry, and a boxer mix, Brie, into our family. In 2014, we began fostering dogs through a local shelter. We have fostered over 30 dogs and helped them find their forever homes. From a mom with 8 puppies to seniors, we have experience with just about every kind of dog. We have experience taking care of a wide array of personalities! We have cared for dogs who are social, skittish, medically fragile, calm, high energy, chatty, quiet, chewers, house training, 8 day old puppies, weighing 160 pounds, the list goes on!

Excellent service. Maggie provided many updates and photos. Not only did we have a vacation but our dog did as well. He found new playmates in Maggie's dog and children. Will definitely use her in the future.
GREAT service!! Maggie was easy to stay in contact with and sent lots of pictures and videos! I didn’t worry about the care of my pup the whole stay. My energetic pup even came back sleepy!! So so great.
Very lovely family. They have lots of experience with shy dogs, so my pup did very well there. I got a lot of pictures of the my dog and lots of status updates. Paxton seemed very comfortable and happy!
My experience with Maggie was very good. She was very friendly, accommodating and communicated with me well.

First and foremost - we have two young children so it is important to us that your dog is good with people. We are very diligent about enforcing boundaries with our children - they know to not pull tails/ears, when to give dogs space, how to say hi to dogs, etc. We promise to respect your dog's space and give them the kind of attention that they prefer. We have a house with a big backyard! It is fenced, but the fence is somewhat short in some places so if your dog is a jumping risk, we would take them out back on a leash or supervised. It is a large backyard, so they will get tons of opportunity for exercise and play time. We have two dogs, both have a lot of experience around other dogs. We are very diligent about supervising new dog interactions. In our experience fostering, we have watched dogs of varying demeanors and we know how important it is for all dogs to feel comfortable. We feed dogs in their own areas so they feel safe and secure with their food. If we were to leave the dogs home alone unsupervised, you have the option to leave your dog in the basement (it's finished & cozy!) separate from our dogs, free roam with our dogs, or in a kennel. We have security cameras so I like to check in on the dogs while we are gone! Our Great Dane experienced a bit of anxiety whenever we traveled. We know how stressful it can be to leave your pet in the care of someone else. We are happy to accommodate your specific pet's needs. I promise to send pictures and updates while your pet is with us!

Information Maggie T. would like to know about your pet
We are happy to accommodate any breed of dog! Our only concern is aggression, as we do have kids. Things we would want to know are... -What are their favorite activities? -Do they have any allergies we need to be aware of? -Are they nervous in new places? If so, do they have a comfort item (dog bed, toy, etc)? -Who is your preferred vet in the event of an emergency? Do you have a preferred vet hospital if it something happens after hours? -Anything you want us to know about your pet!
A typical day
Our backyard is nearly half an acre, so they can enjoy as much outside time as they would like! Our dogs enjoy sunning on our deck, napping next to the fireplace, running around outside, smelling for squirrels and bunnies and getting lots of attention from their humans.
