Most of my current fur-kids are small to medium dogs. I have a doggie door into the back yard that your precious companion can access. I live in a very quiet neighborhood with little traffic on my street. There are many good walking paths in our area as well as a dog park close by. There is a vet just down the road from my house. I have experience in giving medications, including insulin sub-Q. I have all tile in my home so accidents are not a problem. I am retired yet have a small home business, so I'm used to be with my pet all day. She is so much company! Your prince or princess will be loved and cared for as if my own.
