Pet care experience
I have owned dogs all my life and have always known that whatever work I do must involve animals. I am an experienced dog trainer who competes and teaches classes, so I am very understanding and accommodating when it comes to puppy behavior. I have worked in a boarding kennel so I am aware of how important it is to find a good caretaker for your family member. I treat all animals like I do my own; with of patience and love! I have worked extensively with local rescues to help foster and train both dogs and cats, so I have lots of background with all kinds of pets! I have also worked at a pet store, so I am familiar with small animals, reptiles, and fish! I have six dogs of my own (1 year to 12 years old), three cats, and lots of fish! I am a member of the Hungarian Pumi Club of America and am experienced working with many different breeds of dog. I am happy to provide daily coat care and maintenance for anyone who has a dog or cat that requires a little extra care!

This was our first time using Rover and Maggie was so great to work with. She was so patient with our dog and sent updates and photos. Maggie was great at communicating throughout our weekend away. Would recommend her and will be using her again in the future!
So thankful that Maggie was able to dogsit for me on short notice while I was in town to go to a wedding. Communicating with Maggie throughout the booking process and during the drop-in visit was really easy, and the photo check-in messages gave me peace of mind. My dog was still very relaxed when I got back, so I know he was comforted by having Maggie around too!

Has your dog ever stayed with someone else while you are away? Have they ever been walked by someone else? Are they comfortable spending time in a kennel if needed for their own safety and comfort? Does your pet have separation anxiety? If so, is there anything you have done that helps your dog stay calm? Does your dog have any notable temperament concerns I should be aware of (nervous around new people/dogs, doesn't like fireworks, dislikes cats)? Does you pet have any physical or mental health concerns or limitations? Any allergies or medications? Has your dog ever escaped from a fenced in yard? What are your dogs favorite activities (fetch, tug, being brushed, having their belly rubbed, etc.)?
A typical day
Dogs staying with me will get lots of fun walks, fun off leash time at a private beach area, and even some fun training exercises including obedience, nosework, and agility! We live right by a local park so there will be tons of new, different and exciting things taking place there all the time.
