4+ years of professional experience

Pet care experience

I’ve owned large dogs since I was a child. Currently, I live with my 3 year old German Shepherd, Ziva, and my 1 year old GSD, Fallon. I also occasionally provide care for my brother's adult Husky. For two and a half years I served as a professional dog walker with a local company, and it has been almost a year since I started working with Rover. I made the tough decision to leave that position to work from home full time, but I would love to continue working with animals and walking dogs as my schedule allows. I've also recently started fostering animals through the local shelter. It's safe to say I'm an animal lover!

Maggie was responsive and followed directions (as I felt there was maybe too much detail I had left her ?), she completed everything as asked and took THE BEST pictures. Will book again!

Maggie is great with Finn! She has great communication and is responsive to all of Finn’s wacky food issues. She treats your pet as if it is her own!

Safety, trust & environment

Pets staying in my home are treated like my own. That means potty breaks every couple of hours, at least one walk per day, feedings as requested by the owner and as much playtime as they want. My own personal dogs, while friendly will likely be sent for a sleepover at my parents house while your pet boards with me - however if your dog is friendly and prefers a playmate a meet and greet can be scheduled before hand with my oldest dog, Ziva.

Information Maggie L. would like to know about your pet

For walking, I need to know: - Where the leash and poop bags are - If they are allowed treats - If they are leash reactive - If they have a habit of eating things off the ground - If they are crated during the day or free roaming For Drop Ins, I need to know: - If you have a fenced in yard - If you do not have a fenced in yard, I need to know where the leash is - Where to dispose of poop - If they are crated during the day or free roaming - If they are allowed treats - If they need to be fed

A typical day

I will typically walk dogs around their own neighborhood, however if there is a nearby park I will take the dogs there (I've frequented Riverside Park, Richmond Park, and Millennium Park).

Availability

I currently work from home full time and can provide plenty of attention to dogs who may board with me. For drop in visits and walks, afternoon and evening hours are preferable, but given enough notice I may be able to make accommodations. Please note that I am not typically able to schedule visits for new clients without 24 hours notice. There are times where I may be able to make accommodations, but that is not always guaranteed. To ensure I am available to care for your pet, please reach out at least 24 hours before the desired visit.
