Pet care experience
I am a responsible and dependent person who just happens to be an animal lover and want to care for YOUR pet ! I volunteer for the ASPCA here in NYC. I also am a runner and part of the NY Road Runners so I am ready to take on those dogs who have lots of energy to burn! I haven't meet an animal I didn't immediately fall for. I grew up with cats and a yellow lab. I attended many training classes and even guided our family dog through her CGC test. I can help your dog learn new tricks or basic commands as well! I also am an advocate for adoption and rescue hence why the ASPCA is dear to me. Open to all dogs breeds and size. Those marked "bully" breeds don't scare me! In reality they are the most loving and often biggest babies. I would love to take care for your pet and maybe even take them on a run with me! My current work schedule does not lend itself to me owning a pet so I rely on volunteering to get my interaction with animals.

I know Maggie for over 3 years now and I can honestly tell you that she is one of the hardest working and kindest person you could ever meet. As long as I know her she has always been very passionate and involved in trying to help animals (especially dogs). She volunteers all the time at the ASPCA and she is wonderful with both small and big breeds. She is Trust worthy and very loving. I could not think of a better person to recommend as a dog care giver.
Maggie is the ultimate animal lover! I think her true calling is in helping and loving those furry friends. She volunteers at NYC ASPCA and spends many weekends helping getting animals tagged, microchip, and vaccinated. She is especially supportive in changing the perception of pit bulls. She would make a loving , caring dog walker (she is a runner) for your precious pet!

While I'm sure we will get along I would like to meet the dog before sitting just to get to know personality traits. Also get to know if he or she has any triggers I should know about while walking (i.e. doesn't like men; skiddish of skateboards; doesn't like other dogs) I have no breed restrictions whatsoever.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog On weekends I am free to spend all my time with your dog! During the week I am available in the evenings so I could spend all evening with your dog. Extra house-sitting services Yes, of course.

Why I love dog sitting My whole life. I grew up with a yellow lab, Bailey. I had her from she was a puppy so I am familiar with potty training techniques and teaching dogs basic commands. I also led her through her Canine Good Citizen test which she passed. I adopted a pittbull/boxer mix, Josie, while living in Pittsburgh PA from the Humane Society. This is where I became aware of the stigma against pittbulls and I instantly fell in love with Josie and the breed. With the move to NYC she is currently enjoying life with a huge yard at my parents home in Ohio.
