Student Who Misses My Dog
Pet care experience
Hi! I am a student in my last semester with plenty of time on my hands and a very flexible schedule. I would love to petsit during my free time because I grew up with a Golden Retriever who was a huge part of my childhood. I used to take him on walks several days a week and play with him in the dog park. When I went to college, my parents got a 20 pound Cavashon (Cavalier King Charles and Bichon mix), so I also have extensive experience with a smaller dog. Although my Golden Retriever was very friendly, my Cavashon is a little scared around people and dogs he doesn't know, so I've learned how to handle both types of personalities. After living with and caring for these two very different dogs, I've learned the amount of accountability and responsibility it takes to be in charge of a pet. Additionally, I have volunteered at the Maryland SPCA, where you go through a required four hour training on how to approach skittish dogs, read a dog's body language, introduce the dog to potential adopters, and use the facility. At the SPCA, I spent most of my time in the crates with the dogs socializing with them (most of them wanted to climb into my lap and be petted), taking them for walks through the facility, or playing fetch in a fenced area. Whether you are looking for a walk, time in the park, or an overnight visit where your dog will get plenty of love and attention, I would love to take care of them!

Maggie was great! She took excellent care of Scout, especially since he wasn't feeling well. We really appreciate that she was available on such short notice. We will definitely book with Maggie again.
My friend Maggie is someone you want to be a forever friend. Someone who is kind and smart but also humble. She’s one of the hardest working people I know and very responsible. She was the captain of the Johns Hopkins soccer team for two years in a row and I met her through a volunteer program that tutored kids in the Baltimore area. Managing a whole team of college athletes and tutoring elementary school students, while being a full time college student is not something everybody can do, but my friend can most certainly do it all! I love her and I know how much she loves dogs because we talk about our own dogs all the time together. (Without being too cheesy) she’s the best !
Maggie is one of the most enthusiastic, responsible, and loving dog sitters I've ever met. Because she's grown up with an amazing dog, she knows the responsibility that comes with taking care of a pet. If you're looking for someone who will not only have plenty of pet care knowledge, but also shower your dog with love and affection, Maggie will be the perfect sitter. I would trust her with my dog anytime!
Maggie is a very responsible and i would trust her with my own dog. She is very kind and sweet and is very affectionate with all types of dogs. She will love your dog like it's her own.

I am located near the Hamden dog park, so I would love to throw a frisbee or a tennis ball around. I also am very close to the Hopkins campus, which has plenty of scenic places to walk a dog. If your dog isn't as active, I am happy to sit at home and give them plenty of attention!
