love for your fur babies!

Pet care experience

I’ve had a dog(s) since I was in a crib, they’re my life. I’ve volunteered at vets offices off and on for 3 years and I grew up working horses so I know quite a bit about first aid care! I’m the type of person who notices a dog before I notice a person. I think how people treat animals is a very important personality trait. I’ve always had a huge passion for animals since birth, and dog sitting helps me get my “puppy obsession” out without owning 50 dogs. I’d love to help you feel like your babies are safe and cared for while you’re away! I have experience with dogs of all sizes, and energy levels, as well as dogs with behavioral or health issues.

Maggie is and always will be my go-to gal for our special needs rescue, Maddie! Maddie has severe anxiety, PTSD, and stomach problems that demand a very strict diet plus all her medical issues also require medications. With all of Maddie's anxieties and tummy issues, it has always been less stressful for her and us, as well, not to travel until we met Maggie! Maggie and Maddie, who is timid and submissive, simply bonded instantly and became the sweetest pals! Maggie even came over a few more times, before we went on our 1st trip in over 5 years, so Maddie would get more acclimated to her. She was so incredibly mindful to keep with Maddie's routine, followed my directions to the letter, sent us pictures throughout the day, and administered medications via food and orally. Maggie was extremely responsible in our home! She even took out the trash and you could not tell someone stayed there for several nights. Maggie has simply been a blessing to our family!!

Maggie has been my go to girl and biggest blessing since relocating here! I don’t know who has more separation anxiety me or my lab/pit but my nervous girl loves Maggie which makes me be able to enjoy my time away! She manages to get the best pictures of my zoo (3 dogs) and is always there whether to let them out or stay a few days! I don’t know what I would would do if we hadn’t found her and I know my pups are thankful too she gives them treats and snuggles like I do!!!

1st experience with Maggie was good. 2nd was not so good. Very little communication. When I returned home the house smelled of bleach and many articles of clothing/towels were bleached and ruined. I was never told that there was a problem and when I asked Maggie about what happened she stated that one of the dogs had an accident (the dogs are house trained and don't have accidents anymore, so were likely not given enough time to go to bathroom) and she tried to wash the bedding. This is fine, and accidents happen. It would have been perfectly fine, however, she refused to accept responsibility and denied using any bleach. No one else had been home to pour bleach into the washing machine. The issue I have is not with accidently bleaching things, but with the lie. Integrity is everything, especially when you are handing over the keys to your home to a stranger. With that said, the dogs seemed to be well cared for.

Maggie took care of our labs in our home while we were gone for the weekend. She did a great job!
