Pet care experience
I am a volunteer and animal advocate of 3 going on 4 years. I volunteer at an animal shelter along with an animal non-profit. I am very comfortable working with dogs of all size and behavior. Shy, skittish and timid I love them all. I have a lot of patience since volunteering at a shelter. I love animals of all shapes and sizes. I have been pet sitting 3 years and can have references upon request. I would love to sit your animals while your away. Pay is flexible. I have volunteered for 3 going on 4 years at the San Bernardino City Shelter, as well as HEAL a non profit for San Bernardino City animals. I have pet sit in the past several homes. I am very patient and soft spoken with animals. I can bottle feed, hand feed, administer meds and anything else required. The comfort and care of an animal should come first before anything else. Why I love dog sitting I've been pet stitting for about 3 + years now. It all started when a contact of mine approached me about sitting her pets due to my experience volunteering at an animal shelter. I've been volunteering now for 4 years at the shelter and am a part of an animal nonprofit that strives to help the animals of the san bernardino area. I've learn many things from volunteering at an animal shelter. From the experience I have learned how to properly approach animals when scared, as well as care for them, and make them more comfortable and confident. These animals are picked up with little to no known history. Due to volunteering I have learned so much patient on how to deal with animals scared, skittish, and fearful. Animals want to feel confident, safe and secure while being watch by a new comer. I feel I have the perfect traits to watch your pets. My experience administering medication Yes. I have plenty of experience administering medication. I have had to medicate past foster animals as well as my personal pets. This would be no problem at all.

Magen is an amazing dog sitter!! My husband and I took a trip to NY for 7 days and Magen stayed at our home with our 5 fur babies. The entire time we were gone, I was not worries about the babes because I had total faith in her that she would give them 100% of her love and attention. Magen sent me updates, including pictures of all of the babes and they were very happy. Our home was perfect when we returned, which is also much appreciated :) . We've boarded our dogs in the past and have not always had a great outcome. The dogs would end up sick with stomach issues and seemed scared. This experience with Magen was PERFECT and I would definitely hire her again, as well as give her information to family and friends. Absolutely perfect experience. Thank you Magen for doing a wonderful job and for giving the fur babies the love and attention that you did.
Magen stayed with our (2) pups, (2) feral but dependent cats and bird for 5 days! It was the best vacation our family has ever had knowing how well cared for our critters were. One of our dogs is a Senior, the other a Princess and both accepted Magen and bonded with her. She cared for our outside birds as well - seed feeders and juice for the humming birds! I have complete confidence in her skills with animals and appreciated her talents keeping our animals safe and happy while we were gone!
Magen has taken care of our dogs for the past 3 years when we go on vacation. One of our dogs (a rescue) has some fear-related issues from her previous owners and always worries us when we go away. The patience and compassion shown towards her has made our girl absolutely trust and love Magen. I completely trust Magen's judgement with our dogs and can rest at ease when we are away, knowing that our babies are in great hands. I highly recommend Magen to anyone who wants to be sure that their dogs are given the best of care.

It would always be best to know your dogs behavior before hand if possible. This allows me to know what the dog is most comfortable with. Some dogs have to fears, others like some skittish I have watched in the past like a different approach i.e slow movement, lower tone of voice. Its also important to know if the dog(s) are dog friendly if walking is required. It is extremely important to make the pets feel comfortable while you are in THEIR home. They are the most important. I have no breed preference. I am very comfortable around any breed type since volunteering at the shelter
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog As much as needed to make the animals comfortable as possible. With petsitting in house, I will be at your house more than likely 23 hours a day, the only time I would leave the house is to go to the store to pick up food etc. I would not leave you pet alone for much time at all. After all I am being paid to watch them, they are the importance, and need to be placed 1st and foremost. Extra house-sitting services I am more than willing to do additional tasks as needed. i.e watering plants, bringing in the mail, picking up dog poop in the yard, scoop leaves out of the pool (if you have one). Refilling bird feeders etc. I am very accommodating if there is an additional task that was not listed here please feel free to bring it up when contact me.
