Pet care experience
I have a dog loving family who spoil our Golden Retriever, Bandit. We had a super sweet Yellow Lab, Radar, who we recently lost to kidney failure at 14 years of age. I live in a home in Bowie with a fenced yard, close to a dog park and a community park with a pond and bike path. I've loved dogs since childhood, and I will treat your beloved pet like they're my own. I am very generous with treats and I also let guests on the sofa/Lovesac - thank goodness for washable covers! NOTE: I will now charge an extra $10 flat fee for guests dropped off before 7am. Also please try to be as accurate with drop off and pick up times so I can plan around them. I will charge extra $5 per hour in cash beginning 2 hours after the times listed when reservation is made.
Reviews
Mady is AMAZING! She helped us out in a last minute pinch and made sure our pup had a fun, exciting day. She sends lots of pictures and gave Kiko lots of love! Thanks, Mady!
Such amazing dog sitter. The kids love getting pictures of their walks and the dogs playing.
Mady is an AMAZING sitter. Balee enjoyed his weekend playdate with Bandit. The pics that Mady sent confirmed that my fur baby felt safe and comfortable.
Balee had a wonderful play date with his friend Bandit.

I accept mostly boarding at my home at this time. I can accept some guests for day care on case by case basis. I do require meet and greets for all new guests. I have a fenced yard where my guests can run around and play. My guests also have freedom to wander in any part of my home, and generally welcome on my couch like my own pets. My kitchen can be closed off if needed, and this helps during mealtime.

Information Mady H. would like to know about your pet
I want to know the age and energy level of each of my guests. I also would like to be warned if a dog has a habit of jumping up on strangers as their way of saying hello. Does your fur baby pull when walked? if so, does he/she respond to "stop" or "heel"? I don't mind a little pulling, and I've done individual walks if necessary, instead of with Bandit. Also for larger/taller dogs please let me know if they tend to counter surf so I can put food out of their reach. Also, please let me know of any special diet, or if treats are allowed (I tend to be very generous with treats), and sleeping habits. I have a large crate and extra beds for my guests, but I also welcome their own bed/bedding.
A typical day
My guests can play in my backyard. I have a dog gym that I can take out for extra energetic dogs like Bandit. During the summer, I can unfold a small pool to cool off my guests. Also there is a bike path across the street from my home, where my family and I frequently take our own dogs. I keep a very close eye on my guests and pick up the poop on our walks Allen Pond park is nearby, and I’ve taken some of my guests there.

I work from home 100%. It is essential that I leave my computer a few times a day and just spend time with my pets and guests. I typically walk Bandit and guests twice a day, sometimes more when the weather is especially nice. Occasionally overlaps of bookings will happen and I would need to walk multiple guests separately depending on their size and tendency to pull. More walks mean shorter walks so I can fit them all within my workday. But on very nice days, I indulge my guests on longer walks after work.
