Pet care experience
My family has included animals as far back as I can remember. Growing up with large dogs constantly around is what first made me want to work with animals. In the past I have worked at a dog kennel that sometimes catered up to one hundred dogs a day! Working with so many dogs at once taught me more about temperament, the many different ways dogs can respond to new people, and has given me greater confidence when working with rambunctious pets. For the past few years, in addition to working through Rover, I have acted as my extended family's impromptu pet sitter anytime someone goes on vacation. I have also worked for neighbors, friends, and co-workers with various pets including cats, rabbits, lizards, and fish.

I highly recommend Madison! She walked my dogs for two weeks while I was out of the country & she kept me posted everyday. She had to deal with my mom, who adored her, and said she was very punctual. She's very easy to communicate with, she's kind, and professional.

Information Madison T. would like to know about your pet
Having grown up with Boxers, I am partial to their waggly butts and ceaseless energy - but I love all dogs! It would be helpful for me to know how your dog behaves around other dogs, animals, or people/children. This might dictate the route I take and how I interact with passersby. Also, if your pet has allergies I'd like to know so we can avoid grass or whatever the allergen may be. Finally, if your dog is nervous meeting strangers, knowing ahead of time will help prepare me and make sure they are comfortable. Additionally, let me know anything special your pet may like; kinds of treats, fetch, running, belly rubs...
A typical day
Where I walk your dogs is entirely up to you! If you have a planned route that you know your dog enjoys, just let me know and that's where I will take them. It is my disposition that fresh air and play time make for happy pets, so I try to incorporate walks and rumpus time in as much as possible. Of course, like people, some dogs are less energetic and should never be forced to be active past their threshold, especially those with medical conditions. Really I am at your dog's mercy - I'm going to throw the ball as many times as it is soggily dropped into my lap.
