Vet Tech & Pet Nutrition Specialist

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Madison & I am a 26 year old who has had 8 years of professional experience caring for animals. I started caring for animals in a shelter setting at the age of 18 while obtaining my degree in Veterinary Technology. Over the past years, I have worked in both shelter and clinic settings, and recently obtained my certification in pet food nutrition. I not only have extensive knowledge when it comes to nutritional and medical needs, but also withhold an abundance of patience as every animal has their own quirks. My services on Rover don't just stop at what you hire me to do, but they go well into answering any professionally appropriate questions you may have with you fur baby, day or night. Currently, I am involved with Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter in Tomah, while launching my own pet treat business called Three Muttketeers Barkery. I have, and continue to, foster numerous cats/kittens and dog for local shelters, while foster failing from time to time! I currently have 3 dogs and 4 cats, who come from all walks of life in the shelter field. 2 of my dogs were retired breeders from a local Amish puppy mill. In my pictures, you'll also find Dagoba, Karma, Mona, & Noah, who are my foster fail cats! Along with them, you'll see many of my other foster animals I have had over the years! All animals are treated like my own children, whether they are my full timer's or just temporary :) I pride myself on being that go to person for pet parents that want more, than just a "do your job" & get paid type of service. You'll receive constant pictures & updates from me in regards to your babies! I typically take my dogs to the local dog park every day or on a walk at a near by walking trail. Of course, if you would like different exercise arrangements while with me, please let me know! My whole purpose of being in the animal field is to make sure every pet is kept happy and healthy! I'm currently part time with Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter, while I launch my own pet treat business, so I am very flexible to any needs! We currently have 2 rooms designated to our Rover care! We have a cat room as well as a room for your pups! Both are currently undergoing renovations here and there when we do not have any overnighters, in order to make our pet rooms the ultimate hotspots! Dogs are never in their room until it's bed time, or if we by chance need to run an errand. We base our schedule upon our animals that we are caring for, in order to make sure we are home almost 24/7 with them. At bedtime, we can accommodate a crate, if you prefer, otherwise, they are left to roam the entire room! Currently, cat's are kept solely in their designated room, as they can be more temperamental with environment changes and other animals around. This ensures that they get a secluded space to themselves, with toys & a great window to watch birds out of. They also will get bi-hourly sit in visit from either myself, my boyfriend, or both of us. We use this time to play with them or just give them that extra affection they are missing from you! We are in the process of also adding climbing shelving along the walls, hideouts and a TV! We offer a personal viewing of our home for all pet parents, as we want you to see exactly where your pet will be staying!

Second time having Madison watching my cats. I feel safe leaving them with her and know they will be cared after. Will definitely go back to her again to watch my cats

Madison was amazing! First of all she was flexible when my work had me take an emergency trip away, she was willing to start a week early to watch my cats while I was away. She is friendly and knowledgeable about animals. She sent pictures at every check in and I knew my cats were safe with her. I will definitely use her as a cat sitter in the future.

Madison did an excellent job with my puppy. She was very accommodating as I had to reach out last minute for a drop in visit. She sent me great pictures of her playing with my puppy. I couldn’t be more happy with her care for him. Will be reaching out again for her services soon!

Madison’s drop in visits went great! She was very consistent and conscientious about the time of her visits and her reports back to me and would recommend her to other pet owners.

Information Madison S. would like to know about your pet

I have absolutely no breed preference, as I have worked with many dogs out there. If coming into my household, I would prefer them to be cat and dog friendly. Also, are they okay to roam at night or do they need to be crated, ect.

A typical day

My dogs are taken to a dog park or a walking trail at least once a day, however, if you have certain requests for exercise, please let me know! While home, the dogs, are out to roam the house, lay on the couch, or my bed, as they please. If they are not great with other dogs, my dogs will switch on and off between roaming the house with yours. All feeding and medical requirements go off of what you specify for your pet(s).
