Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs of my own. I trained and walked them, as well as took them on hikes and dabbled in agility training. I also helped care for many of my neighbors dogs by house sitting, walking and training them. I have also had many other pets, such as cats, fish, a turtle, dwarf rabbits, hermit crabs and mice. I have handled animals of all ages and types! I am signing up to be a pet sitter because I am an avid dog lover, and this will be my full-time job. I offer additional services such as bathing and cat care. I also offer discounts for families with more than one dog.

Madison was great taking care of our pets while we were away. They seemed to enjoy each others company. She sent pictures and messages to let me know how things were going. I highly recommend Madison. Will definitely ask Madison to sit again when we travel.
Madison grew up with two loving dogs, one of which she helped train and raise. She also helped train and walked a young Wheatie for a neighbor when she was a pre-teen. This went so well these neighbor's asked her to help train and to walk their next dog-an Australian Shepherd. While a teenager she fostered three kittens which were ultimately adopted. She has since taken in two stray cats which she found on the streets and still has today. Madison has been a loving "parent" and friend to animals since she was born. She is patient, kind and loving to all animals and her one softness is that she never wants to leave any animal without a "forever" home so she wants to bring every sheltered animal home. I personally vouch that she can be entrusted with anyone's pet.

I would like to know what commands the dog is familiar with, as well as any specific behaviors that I should encourage/discourage. Everyone has different expectations of their pets! I do not have any breed or size preferences. I grew up with terriers, so I am familiar with their high energy and sometimes rebellious personalities! I also love love love pit bulls.
A typical day
I will work with a dog's parent(s) to come up with appropriate and stimulating walking routes. For more adventurous and active dogs, I have always been a fan of the hiking trail at Hemlock Overlook park. I used to take my own dog there to hike and swim, and it is a great place to burn some energy! I am willing to discuss additional services, such as bathing and transportation services, during or prior to the meet and greet.
