Pet care experience
I have extensive experience in animal care, having worked in animal shelters for several years, in addition to managing a boarding/daycare facility for several years as well. During that time, I honed my animal handling skills with various breeds, sizes, and ages of animals. There are currently 4 adult dogs living in my home: a senior pitbull mix, a 3yr old golden retriever mix, a 4yr old pitbull mix, and a 3yr old German shepherd. All four of my dogs are very friendly towards people and other dogs. If a situation arises where my own dogs are causing problems with the dog(s) in my care, my personal dogs have alternative locations to stay. This will allow our guest dog(s) to remain comfortable and allow them to have a pleasant time while they are here. My spouse and I are the only residents in our 3-bedroom home. We furnished our home with pets in mind so there are very few breakable items, large open space for dogs to play, beds available in various spaces, and all dogs are allowed on the furniture.
Reviews
Madison is wonderful...we always feel better knowing she's checking in on our elderly pup.
Madison is very caring and trustworthy.
Madison responded quickly, and my cat Bella, who can be quite skeptical of strangers, accepted her immediately, and even cuddled up with her! I received several adorable photos and detailed report cards. Highly recommend.
Madison is always fantastic with our puppy. She treats our dog like she is her own and always looks out for her well being. She doesn’t hesitate to inform us of anything weird going on with our pup or symptoms to look out for. She’s seriously the best!

We take the health and safety of all of our animals and all of yours very seriously. I understand that no dog is perfect, including my own. I do not play favorites and any dog that may be risking the health, safety, and comfort of the others will be separated (temporarily or long term depending upon the situation).

Information Madison & Bryan C. would like to know about your pet
For the safety of your dog and any other dogs that might be in our home, proof of DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccinations are required for all dogs that will be with us for any length of time. Any dogs that I care for outside of our home should have proof of their Rabies and DHLPP vaccinations. All pets that are staying overnight must be crate trained and come with their crate at drop off. Cats should have proof of rabies vaccination, at minimum. We require contact info for your pet’s veterinarian, as well as an emergency contact for your pet. The emergency contact for your pet MUST be in town if you go on vacation. It is very important for us to know if your dog has ever shown issues of aggression or protectiveness over food and toys. This will allow us to take proper precautions to keep everyone safe while we care for your pet. We would like to know ahead of time if your dog has any issues of reactivity towards other people or animals while on a leash so proper precautions can be made to prevent it while out on a walk. If your dog will be staying in our home, we need to know if your dog has ever had issues with dog or cat aggression (if your dog has ever been around cats at all). We will also need to know if your dog can/will jump fences and if your dog fights with other dogs at fences. Our neighbors on both sides of us have dogs that are friendly but like to come up to the fence to greet our dogs. All of this information will allow us to keep everyone safe and happy during your pet’s stay with us.
A typical day
Because I work from home, much of the day is spent in the basement with me while I work. There is a toy box, dog beds, and a couch for the dogs to use. I get a short break every 2 hours and I use that time to bring the dogs outside for a potty break. My lunch break is typically used for play time and after work is play time until everyone is ready to eat dinner! Dog grooming may be provided at an additional cost. I do not cut hair but I do offer nail clipping or filing, bathing, and deshedding. If your dog is badly matted, you will be referred to a professional dog groomer and/or a veterinarian. If you know that your dog may bite during grooming, please provide a properly fitted mesh muzzle and contact info for the person who groomed them last. Grooming for these dogs will be done on a case-by-case basis.

Availability
I work from home 3 weeks out of the month and work in-office for 1 week each month. During that week, there are only 2 days where we are away from our home for 8 hours. I’m happy to discuss my schedule/availability with anyone interested in booking with us! During your pets' stay with us, they will have a routine that is tailored to them, their comfort level, and their behavior. If your pet would prefer to spend time with me and not play with the other dogs all day, then my dogs will get quiet time while I spend one-on-one time with your dog. If your dog would prefer to have time on its own, chewing on a toy, we have kongs filled with PB, yogurt, or wet food that we can provide to allow your pup to have some quiet time to de-stress. If your pup would prefer to play with the other dogs, then they will be able to do that as well.
