5+ Years of Animal Care Experience
Pet care experience
Hi there, I'm Madison, and I can't wait to meet you furry friends! I've been working with animals for over five years, with the last two acting as a veterinary technician in and around Boston. During my time, I learned so much about caring for animals, all in the goal of becoming a veterinarian myself. Even though animals do not speak the same way we do, they communicate with us every day, and I feel like it is my job to listen, to make their day a little brighter for it. I have been trained in fear free handling of cats, and am currently working on honing my skills in dogs as well. Because of my veterinary background, I am very comfortable with giving medications, caring for sick or elderly pets, and also providing enrichment for quick day visits or extended stays. I hope to use these skills when taking care of your pets, by making them feel safe and happy while you are away! Please contact me with inquiries on dog walking and cat sitting!
Reviews
I felt comfortable having Madison drop in for visits with Barley the moment I met her. She is professional and her expertise with taking care of/training dogs is a gift. I trust Madison with Barley and my home, and I will continue using her services!
We highly recommend Madison B. for pet sitting! She took great care of our two dogs! She is very responsible, communicates well , and very proactive, as well as, extremely dependable! Our pups were so happy when we arrived home thanks to Madison! We will definitely hire her again!
First time using Rover and we will be using it again, especially Madison! She gave us plenty of updates and we felt our dogs were in great, caring hands! We've already recommended her to other family members. Thanks again!
I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my pets. Madison will take care of your fur babies and enjoy every moment of it. She is a skilled person and very attentive. Madison is also in the profession of Veterinary Medicine, she can medicate your pet if they need any injectables or oral medications. Madison is a person you can trust to have your pets best interest at heart.

Information Madison B. would like to know about your pet
Before taking care of any clients, I hope to have access to medical conditions, dietary restrictions, potential fear triggers, and favorite activities. That way, I can tailor my outing with your friends to be something they can enjoy and look forward to. I do not have breed preferences, as I have worked with many, and learned the different ways to approach each without raising alarm or fear. I have been trained in stress free cat handling, and am working on my skills with dogs as well.
A typical day
Drop in visits for dogs will include a specialized activity plan according to history of the pets (ball work, confidence work/ socialization for puppies, anxiety dogs and senior pets), along with general enrichment during my visits. During walks, with owner's permission, I can take the dogs to parks, hiking trails and public open spaces in order for them to have some fresh air. Cat visits will include general care and company for the visit (feeding, cleaning litter box, administering medications, etc.), along with behavioral enrichment according to the needs of the cat. This may include assessing the comfort levels with strangers and using toys/ treats to stimulate healthy cat behaviors.
