My dreams came true at 6 years old when my parents told my sisters and I that we were getting a dog. Our labradoodle Libby was the sweetest addition to the family. She was such a constant in my growing up years. Now, I am blessed to have a dog of my own - Oakley, a mini Australian shepherd/poodle mix. Taking care of her has been a growing experience for both myself and her. I got to see Libby grow from playful pup to a more careful senior dog. And with Oakley, I have great, current experience with the rewards and trials that come with the puppy and young adult stage. Having experience caring for Libby throughout all her phases of life, and Oakley in these early years, along with experience pet sitting for neighbors, family, and friends in their absence, I treat every chance to walk or watch a dog like they’re one of my own.
