Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for most of my life - my father is a vet, so growing up I was always around animals. I also did quite a bit of pet sitting when I was younger and some housesitting when I was in college. I’ve had animals of my own since I was 9, and I currently have two rescue chihuahuas which I am rehabilitating (both came from traumatic situations). I am experienced in dog training, handling dog aggression, senior dog care, and (of course) loving on animals. I would love to come and give your babies all of the love they want!

Madelyn was so great with my pups! I have an old lady and a young lady- polar opposites. She handled it like a champ and kept me updated the whole time. 10/10 would recommend and will be using her again :)
Per usual, Madelyn is a rockstar! Selfishly, I don’t want to write this because I want her all to ourselves and our pup. But, really we feel so lucky to have her take care of our dog — she is communicate, in the details when it comes to our dog’s care, and immensely helpful when extra life things come up!
I hesitate to gush as much as I want to about Madelyn for fear she will get too busy for us! But really, I only have great things to say. I was very nervous about hiring an in home dog sitter for our very anxious 12 yr old dog Lucy, and Madelyn knocked it out of the park! It was clear she had read all of our instructions, went above and beyond in the care of our home, and was wonderfully communicative. Lucy can't wait for their next hang!

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I like to put a lot of my energy into making sure the animal is getting as much stimulation as it needs (playing with toys, receiving pets, etc). This is my favorite part of the job! I make sure that I always leave the home cleaner than I found it.

A typical day
I love to keep your pet active both physically and mentally. This usually involves lots of play time and cuddles, and long walks if desired. I love to walking dogs in the area around their house (familiarity), but also love walking dogs on the Greenbelt whenever I get the chance.

Availability
I am currently working full-time on weekdays, but am remote on Monday and Friday. I can pet sit full days on Monday, Friday, and weekends, and am available past 5 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
