Pet care experience
From birth to 18, there was always at least one or two dogs in my house. I was always expected to help with house-breaking (or litter box cleaning), obedience training, washing/brushing, attending puppy school, and feeding and walking the dogs. My house had cats, poodles, and newfoundlands so I'm comfortable with all ranges of pets!

I don't currently have any pets in my home. I'm a big advocate of making sure dogs get enough movement in the day, whether that's taking them to the dog park to run, or (dog-size dependent) playing fetch around the house. I'm familiar with crate training younger dogs for night-time, as well as treat enforcement for good behavior, obeying commands, waiting at the door etc. I will not feed pets human food unless you explicitly tell me what's ok!

It's helpful to know if your dog: - takes any medications - has any mobility issues - sensitivities to certain movements or being touched (like being pet on their head) - has issues playing with other dogs
A typical day
I'll take your dog on long walks around the East Village, and with permission I'd take your dog to run around the Tompkins Sq dog park and throw the ball. I also love to give belly rubs!

My schedule is currently flexible, and I make my own schedule. I'm available for morning, afternoon, or evening walks, as well as home visits to feed and check in on pets.
