Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Madeline. I’ve had all kinds of pets in my life, I love animals and one day I hope to have a farm. I trained my own dogs, and I’ve fostered cats in my home and have experience caring for sick animals (giving shots, pills, feeding, etc.) Through fostering and general volunteering at the shelter I've worked with animals from all walks of life; big and small, crazy energetic or nervous and shy. Every animal is different and they each have their own personality. Having to leave your pet, even for a short period of time, is stressful enough, but I promise I will provide the care and attention your pets need. I’m a student at Gonzaga so I have class during the week but I have a lot of flexibility outside of class times and on weekends. Please leave a printed list of instructions. I have a car so I can be there where you need, if possible I’d like to meet before you leave so your pet can meet me while you are there and so you can show me exactly how you would like things to be done. I’m very clean and will probably just do homework and hang out with your pet.

Madeline (also going by Maddy) was a great caregiver for my two cats, Sir Isaac Bertrand, and Tod. She watched them for 5 days while I was out of town, and everything seemed to run perfectly. It seemed like Sir Isaac Bertrand and Tod even got along better after that week with Madeline. Would recommend.
I have been a long time family friend of Maddy and she has taken care of my dogs when I couldn’t more times than I can count. She’s amazing with dogs and will take great care of both them and your home!
I was lucky to have found Maddy as a pet sitter for my beloved turtle, Pippin. Maddy did an outstanding job taking care of him while I was away. She went above and beyond to make sure Pippin was happy and healthy, and I couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter. Maddy's attention to detail was remarkable. She cleaned Pippin's enclosure thoroughly every day, and even took the time to play with Pippin and give them plenty of love and attention. I appreciated the daily updates and photos that Maddy sent, which gave me peace of mind knowing that Pippin was in good hands. I highly recommend Maddy to anyone in need of a caring and responsible pet sitter, especially for smaller pets like Pippin.
I recently booked Maddy through the Rover app to watch my furry little friend, Luna, while I was out of town. I have to say, Maddy did an absolutely amazing job taking care of Luna, and I couldn't be happier with the service she provided. First of all, I was immediately impressed with how well Maddy communicated with me before, during, and after her stay. She was always very responsive to my messages, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. But of course, the most important thing is how well she took care of Luna. Let me just say, Luna is a bit of a handful - she's a feisty little cat with a ton of personality. But Maddy took everything in stride, and seemed to genuinely enjoy spending time with her. Maddy came every day to feed Luna and clean up after her, and she always left everything spotless. I could tell that she really cared about making sure Luna was comfortable and happy while I was gone, and it really showed in the way she treated her. Overall, I can't recommend Maddy enough. If you're looking for an animal sitter who will go above and beyond to make sure your pet is happy and healthy, Maddy is definitely the person to call. Thank you, Maddy, for taking such good care of Luna - we'll definitely be booking you again in the future

When caring for your pets, I am prepared to meet every need. I have pet sit for people who had outdoor cats that didn’t need much from me besides someone to watch the house and watch for the cat every now and then. I’ve also pet sit for people with dogs that needed walks up to 3x a day and a more attentive sitter. Through fostering I also learned how to care for baby kittens and sick animals as well who need medicine. It all depends on the needs of your pet!

Before meeting your pet, I'd like to know if there are any specific things that they need. For example if they take medication, or if they are still potty training, or if they have anxiety, anything like that. I want to make sure I am the best person to be caring for your pet.
A typical day
Being that I am a college student, I walk literally everywhere. So if you're looking for someone to keep your pet active, I am that person. If your pet is okay going to the park, we can go to the park and run around, or we can walk around the neighborhood, or play with their favorite toys. I have so much energy I can guarantee I will keep up with your pet.

I do not currently have pets of my own, but when I am caring for other people’s pets I try to keep my schedule open and flexible to allow for maximum time with your animals! I match my schedule to the animal’s needs.
