I'm a veterinarian from Germany and live in Leesburg, Virginia. I have had dogs since I was 12 years old and people say I am an excellent dog trainer. My little English Cocker Spaniel certainly knows many tricks and our young Hovawart is working on some as well. I exercise them daily, which includes hiking in the woods and fields around our house, swimming, or throwing the ball. I would love to include your pup(s) into our daily life and adventures around the farm. Older dogs that might need less action and more peace and quite, can be accommodated as well. My senior lady Mia likes to take it a bit slower these days too. I am also more than happy to take care of cats 🐱 Even though I don’t have one myself right now I am used to taking care of them and in my big house, could provide their own little apartment for them away from the dogs. Do to my profession I am also capable of giving medications and recoqnize signs of discomfort or disease early on. So your pup would be in good hands :)

Madeline did a fantastic job watching our dog Harper while we were on vacation for a week! She is extremely knowledgeable about animals and really went the extra mile to learn about Harper’s habits and routine. She also sent us lots of photos and detailed updates on how she was adjusting and what adventures they were up to on the farm. I would definitely recommend Madeline to anyone looking for a caring, attentive dog sitter!

I live on a big farm with lots of open space for dogs to run around on, play ball or go on hikes. Your pups could even have their very own room with lots of windows leading right out to the yard. Otherwise they would be included in our normal daily life and join us on walks around the farm.

Information Madeline M. would like to know about your pet
It would be important that they get along with other dogs in order to be fully integrated into our daily home life with my dogs. Unfortunately, intact males can only be accommodated on a case by case evaluation, as Allie is an intact female. Before your dogs stay with us, I would like to know, if they are house trained, have any diseases/ conditions that require treatment etc. Ideally we would schedule a meet and great before their stay with us.
A typical day
I’d be happy to take them on walks around the farm, to the dog park or even do a little training session with them to maybe learn a new trick?! :) playtime at home is included as well of course!

Availability
I work part time at a veterinary practice, so that during the week your pup might have to stay home with my dogs for a few hours. However, they can easily be separated in the house and it’s never more than 5-6h.
