Experienced Prevet student & sitter

Pet care experience

Howdy! I’m a current Texas A&M student about to start my first year of veterinary school! I’ve been volunteering at humane societies ever since I can remember, working at a veterinary clinic for a little over four years, and been employed at a doggie daycare in my hometown for the past five years as well! Summer 2021 I had the opportunity to volunteer my time at Winnie Carter Wildlife Center, where I get to dip my feet into exotic animal care! I love on all dogs (or any animal for that matter) big and small!!! Through my vet experience I’m able to administer medications and provide senior pet care as well. In my personal life I can’t remember a time where I didn’t have a pet! Currently I have a two kitties and two dogs back at home, a pitty and an Australian shepherd, so I know all about those energetic breeds! I’m so excited to be able to love on your fur babies during my time in college station! If you need times that I don’t have available, dont hesitate to contact me, I’m super flexible! I love to stay as close to the owner's normal daily schedule as possible. This allows the animals to have some trust and familiarity while you're away!

Madeline was great with my Golden! She took the best pics while I was gone and communicated consistently. I would definitely use her again!

Madeline was such a detailed and prompt communicator, and she made our pup feel so loved while we were away. Thank you! :-)

Safety, trust & environment

At my time at the vet clinics and doggie daycares I’ve worked at, I’ve learned so much about animal behavior and mannerisms. I understand how to approach anxious pups in a way that will be comfortable for them, and I do not shy away from those who are dog aggressive either! (Just let me know please!) I also never leave a dog outside unattended, even if they are perfect for the owner, no one is escaping on my watch! :)

Information Madeline G. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know if there is any food aggression or territorial tendencies, just so I can be aware and cater to your pet as needed! Also, if there is any medication and exactly when and how you administer so I can stay on "as schedule" as possible!

A typical day

Depending on what the dogs activity levels are and such, this varies. Typically for my high energy boys, long walks or fetch in the backyard is always a go to. For the ones who never seem to tire out I love to create "snuffle mats" to engage their noses and brain power! If you live close to a park or a trail let me know!
