Dog trainer & lover

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Maddie, and I’m a dog trainer. I have worked in vet clinics, rescues, humane societies, and have trained my own pups and others as well. My boyfriend and I have two very friendly dogs, a husky and a german shepherd. I have spent hours training them, and they love having another pup in their backyard pack! We are strict with our dogs, but are willing to tweak our rules depending on what you prefer for yours. It's important to keep training consistent, so none of the dogs get confused! We have ample backyard space and a doggy door, and go for walks often as well. Water is always available, both in the doggy pool and the water bowl. Playing with the dogs is our favorite pastime :) Cannot wait to meet yours!

First time ever leaving our anxious pup. Madeline’s dogs were super welcoming and quick to make friends! Madeline’s whole demeanor is calming, authoritative, and sweet. I really appreciated her being more than accommodating with my wonky schedule and it was wonderful to have one less thing to worry about. Would definitely use her again.

Maddie was great! We have a Husky and Maddie is a Husky specialist so it was a perfect match. She sends pictures and texts during the stay so that you can see how your dog is doing. Highly recommend!

Laika had a great time with Madeline and her pups! Madeline gives the pups lots of attention and plenty of room to run.

Safety, trust & environment

Our yard is fully fenced and our dogs are friendly! We do have a turf dog run that is gated off from the grass in our yard if anyone needs to be separated for meals, baths, etc. We require crates for first time boarding dogs! This is for their benefit and our safety: 1. They will benefit from a space that is theirs and only theirs. Our dogs are friendly, but just like people, dogs like their own spot to feel safe and secure. 2. Before we know your dog well, we may use the crate for trips where we both leave the house (usually no more than errands for an hour or so) just to prevent any unknown reactions and to keep everyone safe.

Information Madeline A. would like to know about your pet

While I have a sweetspot for huskies, I love all dogs! Big, small, active, or lazy, I simply love to be around animals. Before sitting your dog, I’d like to know that they have their flea & tick up to date and any history of aggression. Unless otherwise noted by you, there are high chances we hike, beach, or hit the dog park, so I’d like to be confident that they will be safe and successful in these places!

A typical day

We love hiking and running at the beach! Lots of fetch, playing, and interaction. I can also add in training sessions throughout the day if you like. Each session is short (10-15 minutes) and can vary in difficulty based on what you’d like to see from your pet. I love challenging myself and my dogs with new training and tricks!

While I work out if the house full time, my partner works from home! He tries to walk our dogs for 30-45 min, twice daily, and they always have access to the backyard to potty, run, and play.
