I volunteered at a no-kill animal shelter for three years. During that time, I walked dogs, fed and watered animals, scooped cat litter, and cleaned out cages. I have always loved animals and have had both dogs and cats as pets. In addition, I have been pet sitting regularly for several people for the past three years--families that have a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, fish, and even hedgehogs. I am also a part time veterinary technician. I have a passion for animals of all kinds and love being around them! As a sitter, I am typically asked to check in on the animals two or three times a day, but I can check in more often if necessary as long as the house is near me. I can stay overnight at the house, but I cannot take animals in to my home. I am used to cleaning up messes in the house if an animal isn't well potty trained. Finally, I am flexible and am okay with caring for animals with special needs as long as detailed instructions are left for me. I want to be sure I am caring for your fur babies as well as possible--as if they were my own :)
