Pet care experience
Raised with a dog & cat, I’ve loved & taken care of animals from a very young age. Since early 2022, I have been full-time dog walking, house sitting, and boarding pets on Rover. I’d love to take care of yours, too!

My pets are my children, and Madeleine was amazing with my cat and dog (who are both young and wild). She was SO flexible when my trip required last minute changes. Madeleine was very communicative and sent many pictures, which allowed me to have peace of mind leaving the country for over a week. I live in a one bedroom studio apartment with an enclosed balcony without any pets or roommates. (I’ve included photos of my apartment in the slide!) The apartments on the second floor in an 8-unit apartment building. I also own & will gladly use a dog stroller if your pet struggles to walk — fresh air is always important! I’m three blocks from Rock Creek park, so we can do morning walks or runs there. I love cats too (many of my friends are surprised their cats love me!) so will give them lots of attention, whether it be cuddles or play time, at home.

Let me know if your dog, cat or pet has any behaviors, preferences, needs, restrictions, medications, or favorite activities in advance. In order to keep my business sustainable, I do not accept the following: - No barking when I leave my apartment. I don’t want to bother my neighbors. - No untrained pets. They must be potty-trained and know not to eat clothes or shoes. - No biting or history of biting. The more communication, the better, as I want this to be the best experience for you and your pet!
A typical day
As an energetic person, your dog or cat will be very mentally & physically entertained while under my care. I frequently go on long walks in Rock creek park and the city, and always down for a companion! We can also hit the dog park if your dog wants to meet a few friendly faces!

Availability
I live alone in my own apartment and currently working on my own startup, so my schedule is incredibly flexible! As I work from home, I will give your pet lots of cuddles & play time with toys. Depending on your pet’s needs, here’s what to expect: - Early walk or run in the AM + morning meal - Lunch time walk at noon + any treats - Lots of cuddles & play time, or a siesta! - Evening walk in the PM + dinner + I’ll snap a few cute photos & send them throughout the day! I can easily accommodate for short notice or other last minute needs. My work is based out of DC, so I hardly travel and can look after pets for longer terms!
