Pet care experience
This is my fourth year sitting in Salt Lake, but I’ve worked with cats and dogs of all kinds for the past 11 years! Growing up in a household with 3 loving cats, I quickly learned to care for them and their different personalities. When we adopted 3 small dogs as a family, and I began pet-sitting for neighbors and friends, I grew extremely familiar with walking several dogs at a time, appropriate playtime, feeding and special food preparation, bathing, and basic grooming (brushing, eye cleaning). I’ve worked with several puppies, and have senior dog experience after caring for my 12 year old Sammy, as well as a few senior huskies and retrievers who required various medications at scheduled times throughout the day.
Reviews
Mads was amazing. Don’t hesitate to book her. She kept in contact and we returned to a spotless house. And she stayed late for us. Awesome experience!!
Always happy with the care she shows our animals and our house!
Always amazing!
Took great care of our pet babies and the house!!

*Fully vaccinated and boosted* I care for pets in clients’ homes by referring to specific, detailed notes about the pets’ preferences, diet, any medications or additional information; these notes can be prepared by the client, or I can prepare them after talking with the client. This is especially important with special needs dogs; for example, for a blind pup, their comfort level around certain areas of the home may be important, and for an epileptic dog, instructions describing your specific response to a seizure episode are incredibly helpful. My own dog, Sammy, had very specific needs throughout the day, so I always treat clients’ pets as I would treat my own! Additionally, I have a clean and spacious car (2018 Subaru Forester) if transportation is required (e.g, driving to Memory Grove Park for a walk).
Information Mads W. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet has any special needs, medications, or diet, as well as any personality quirks I show know about! I want to maintain the same schedule and activities you know work best for your pet. I really enjoy hiking, so if you have an energetic and active dog with a favorite trail, let me know!
A typical day
My plan for each pet depends on their unique personality and needs! For those hyper pups with lots of energy, we can visit a large parks (dog or regular), walking and hiking paths, and/or their favorite place to visit with their owner, as well as play with their favorite toys. For the calmer and/or more senior pups, exercise is still important, but creating a relaxing, safe environment for the pet where they feel loved and cared for is my biggest priority :)

Availability
I’m currently dancing 3 hours a day Mon-Thurs, and have one 1.5 hour class at the U Mon-Fri. My weekends are completely free :) Some variation may occur with performances and added rehearsals, but we are informed of these well in advance! (ALSO: a reminder that Rover takes 20% of the fees, which is why our fees as sitters may seem a bit higher. Yet after the first booking, I do like to book and pay outside of the app for repeat clients as it’s easier for both of us :))
