Pet care experience
I've been a trusted pet caregiver to neighbors, friends, and family for at least a decade! I've boarded friends' dogs for long weekends and spent multiple nights at neighbors' and family's homes to care for their pets while they were away. I've popped in at friends' houses to take their dogs on walks and give them love, and provided dozens of drop-in visits for cats of family and friends over the years. I have a kitty of my own and grew up with 2-3 cats in the household my whole life. I helped raise my parents' puppy a few years ago, too!

Maddie is one of the most caring dog lovers out there! She takes the commitment of caring for dogs very serious. She realizes that dogs thrive on a schedule, relating to walks, meals, etc. Maddie will treat any pet as if it were her own. Especially with snuggles and love. Oh, and she loves kitties too!

I live in a 1 bedroom apartment that actually has a nice amount of space and a long hallway so things won't be too crammed for your dog. I don't mind pets on my couch and I have a nice cozy rug if you prefer they don't get used to being on furniture. I can also fit a crate in my living room or bedroom if they need that option. My area is super walkable and I have multiple parks nearby which makes up for the fact that I don't have a yard. I have a kitty who is super sweet and chill. She's not afraid of dogs, just curious so as long as your pup is calm around cats, things will work out great!

Please let me know if there are any specific needs or behaviors your dog has. I want to be as prepared as possible to care for their needs! For dogs staying at my home, I prefer that they are accustomed to, or calm around cats.
A typical day
I'm super active and love to be outside, so having a furry friend to bring on an outdoor adventure with me is my dream! There's a park two blocks from my apartment that we can run around and play fetch at, or plenty of cute neighborhood routes we can take for long walks. We can also walk down to the riverfront if your pup is extra energetic and needs more time outside (with a view)!

Availability
I am a young professional working from my home full time! My days are extremely flexible because I create my own work schedule. I typically have large time gaps between meetings to take your pup out for walks and give them lots of love and attention. My meetings typically only last 20 minutes each and I can sit on the couch with your dog while I work, so they really won't have to be a lone while they're with me! I'm an early riser and I love to get outside and be active and I'd prefer to get outside with a dog. So visits with your pet are mutually beneficial! As for drop-ins and walks: I am able to leave my apartment several times throughout my weekdays to accommodate your schedule and give your pets the care they deserve, when they need it.
