Pet care experience
I love puppies and adult puppies (aka dogs), and have been taking care of them for years. Along with my permanent pups, others' pups and foster care nuggets has come a lot of experience with a lot of doggie medical needs; like giving eye drops, insulin shots, topical treatments, cleaning out buggers, experience with seizures, wound cleaning/wrappings, pills, tick removal, at home post-surgery care, etc. I am NOT a veterinarian (though that is my childhood dream job) but if you have care instructions from your vet that might scare away your friends from watching your pup, I'm your girl. I know each dog has different needs with exercise, meals, playtime, potty breaks and attention and I'm more than happy to adapt to your dog's specific needs regardless of whether they're a puppy learning potty training or a senior with specific instructions.
Reviews
Maddie is great with the pups!
My dogs had a great time with Maddie!
Madie has done a couple of "drop-ins" on our pups and has done a great job!
Maddie has been awesome so so patient with our dog Jade who takes a long time to warm up to new people. We are definitely going to continue having her help watch our pups in the future! Highly recommend!

I'll use my best judgment in the absence of any specific instructions, but please ALWAYS feel free to let me know exactly what you and your pups need to feel happy and safe! I've found that most dogs are better off when they are able to stay in their own home while their parents are away for longer trips, which is why I don't usually do boarding in my own home. While that seems to be what works best for most, if you do prefer your pup to be dropped off to my home instead of your own, I am open to a conversation about it and we can decide together if it would be best for your fur baby. As a side note, I'm VERY protective over my own dogs and have a ton of anxiety about leaving them - even in the care of close friends and family, let alone when I've had to hire someone who I don't know well (it was not a fun vacation when I was worrying the whole time). I have a novel of instructions for anyone unfortunate enough to be tasked with pupsitting for me, so I understand and welcome the fact that you probably have your own specific concerns and instructions when it comes to yours. I will always take the time to fully understand and follow your directions - you know your fur baby best! If there is something asked of me that I'm unable or unwilling to do (though it does not happen often), I'll always be upfront about it so that you can make a fully informed decision about who is caring for your love bug.
Information Maddie M. would like to know about your pet
The more details you can give me about your pup ahead of time, the better! Your best guess at their breed(s), things that cause them anxiety (specific noises, other animals, separation anxiety, for example), whether they're kennel trained or hate their kennel, etc. Also, please be sure to warn me if you have an escape artist on your hands so I can take extra precautions when necessary to keep them safe. If they tend to get an upset tummy when away from you, let me know so I can be sure have a dog-safe cleaner and extra paper towels on hand.
A typical day
Walks, hikes and dog park visits - if it's cooler out we'll just walk around the neighborhood, otherwise there are lots of shaded trails I'll drive to that are easier on paws for the hot days. Canine Corral is my favorite dog park, but if there's one that your pup is used to then let me know so I can take them on a trip there instead!
Services
Maddie can watch in your home
Availability
I'm able to make the pups in my care a higher priority than most because I work 100% remotely. This allows for more frequent potty breaks and playtime throughout the day (even weekdays) with minimal home alone time for your fur baby. Before I confirm your booking request, we will always chat through your pup's current schedule to make sure it will mesh well with what I can offer.
