Pet care experience
I am 22 years old. My fiancé and I just moved to Chester, VA from Connecticut. I started watching animals for my neighbor when I was in the eighth grade; watching her cats for a few weeks during vacations and even hosting them in my house a few times during longer trips and as I got older I joined rover. I am hoping to get in some fun exercise, since I love to get out of my apartment and explore while also getting to see new places! Plus, I love all animals so this will help make my time outside of work more enjoyable! I am very good with all ages and animals and I currently have a cat!

Maddie was wonderful with our dog and did a great job of taking care of him while we were away. She communicated well and left the house in great shape. I'd highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs.
Maddie was absolutely wonderful and reliable for doing cat care for our two indoor cats for a full week. We will absolutely have her back again when the need arises! Highly recommended.
Maddie did an excellent job of taking care of my dog, puppy, cat, and home while we went away for a quick weekend trip. She’s very conscientious and timely. I highly recommend her.
It seems Maddie was good with our dogs when she was here. However, we will not use her again for two reasons: 1) she is not a good communicator. We asked her to send pictures and stay in touch that all was good. She rarely sent pics and was very sporadic in her visits - sent other friends to the house, etc. 2) there were many pee stains on a rug in our bedroom which suggests she was not watching the dogs (we have 2 dogs). It’s apparent she tried to clean up the 6 stains, but they’re still visible on the carpet. Nice girl but not attentive and reliable.

I would like to know if your dog is alright with other animals, as well as what commands would be used in case of an emergency involving other people or animals. I have no breed preferences but I prefer if dogs are leash trained since I am not particularly large myself.
A typical day
Depending on where you live, I would probably walk to the closest parks or open areas around your house to play fetch and other energetic activities like “racing” which I tend to do with my dog back home. If your dog prefers to just walk around and snuggle, I am more than happy to supply that need as well!

I plan to substitute teach everyday so I will be available most weekdays after 4 and weekends! I would love to bring your dog to a farmers market during the weekend or to a new walking trail after I get out of work!!
