College-Age Animal Lover
Pet care experience
I am a college student majoring in psychology and minoring in Queer Studies. I am mildly allergic to cats, but I grew up with a cat and two large dogs. My family also fostered senior dogs and puppies when I was in my teens. I was present when my family had a trainer for one of our dogs and helped train the puppies we fostered, so I have tips to help train dogs, especially without laying any hands on them! I have experience bathing dogs but not grooming their coat or trimming nails. I now live with sheep, chickens, turkeys, and even more dogs! I personally own a betta fish and have also had a little experience with horses a while back. I am a huge animal lover, and always have been. I can guarantee that I will care for your pet as if they were my own!

Maddie may have just joined Rover, but she's been our dog sitter for several years. Our two dogs absolutely love when Maddie come over to watch and play with them. She even brings treats, but always checks first to make sure that's okay. You will see very quickly that Maddie is an animal lover who does well with dogs and cats alike. Maddie is very quick to respond and super responsible with our dogs. She's very bright and I feel would be quick to take action if every there was a problem, but we've never had any issues with Maddie in charge! We trust Maddie very much and highly recommend her to care for your beloved animals.
Maddie has taken care of our pets when we are away for several years now. She is very responsible and loving and our lab, husky and cat love it when she comes to play with them! She deals wonderfully with our cat who can quickly go from loving and sweet to literally climbing the walls. She always remains calm and consistent and he responds so well to her! Our lab is getting up there in years and Maddie is so sweet and gentle with her. Our husky is young, playful and energetic and Maddie can match her mood and also helps teach and reinforce good behavior. We trust her in our home and with the care of our pets and she has proven time and time again that she is responsible and loving and takes great care of them when we can’t. You won’t be disappointed with the amazing pet care that Maddie provides!

I would like to know your daily routine with your dog, feeding habits, allergies/special needs or instructions, if your pet gets along with other pets, rules of the house, and emergency preparedness (both for the pet and the property, such as the event of a fire or earthquake). I can continue training, so if that is the case, just let me know what you'd like me to do! I would also like to get to know your dog as well! What treats do they like, what's their favorite game, what tricks do they know, etc!
A typical day
I love to play with dogs both inside and outside, and can handle rough play as well as teething. I will make sure to have the best judgement with your pet's paws, and I know that if it is too hot for me to walk barefoot, it's too hot for them to walk bare paw. I also enjoy dog parks, trails and beaches! I grew up with a Labrador who loves the beach and playing fetch, and a bull mastiff who can't run far but loves to wrestle and tug, so I'm prepared for any kind of energy-burning play your pet may need!
