Mackinzie lived in my neighborhood and I always saw her working odd jobs at 16. I had a 2 yr. old Shelty that liked long walks but I developed a bad knee. I hired Mackinzie for 30 minute walks or runs with my dog. She took him to the park or around the neighborhood. She watched him for signs of discomfort to the heat and would report these to me. She took care of his exercises until she moved away. My dog loved her and was always excited to see her. What really impressed me that hot summer was that at 17 she would get up very early while it was still cool to do his run. Not too many teens would do that in our hot muggy summers. She took her job seriously. As she grew older that same attention to her responsibilities developed that much more. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask her to house sit and watch my pets now.
