Pet care experience
I have owned and pet sat for over 15 years, including fostering several pups with my local humane society! My favorite job during college was working at the humane society where I had the opportunity to help our amazing dogs find the humans of their dreams 😍 I’ve never met a dog or cat I didn’t instantly love and treat all animals as if they are my own.

Mackenzie stayed at our home to care for our 2 shih-tzus. She sent us updates so we knew they were doing well. One of my guys won't eat right away if he's nervous, I fully expected that to be the case, but he ate really well for her which is a true testament to Mackenzie. When we got home, you could tell they were well cared for, they were super happy and jolly. I hope to use her again!
Mackenzie was our house sitter/pet sitter for 2 months in 2015 when we went on an extended vacation. Our shepherd mix, Loki, absolutely loves Mackenzie. She took him for walks, made sure he was comfortable in the house while she attended classes, and basically gave him lots of love and attention. We also had 1 cat at the time that Mackenzie was our sitter, and she made sure the cat was fed, litter box cleaned, and generally made sure both of our fur babies were well taken care of. We haven't had the need for a pet sitter since then, but if we did I would definitely give Mackenzie a call.
I'm a dog owner myself, but my love for dogs pales in comparison to what Mackenzie has inside of her heart. Mackenzie is an incredibly compassionate human being that treats all dogs (and other animals too :) ) like family. As often as you'll find her caring for her own pets at home, you'll find her volunteering with animals at the Human Society of West Michigan with the same level of attention. I would absolutely trust Mackenzie with my dog, as well as those of anyone else.
Mackenzie is a wonderful dog/pet sitter. She had watched our older dog before he passed and made sure he was well cared for. More recently she has watched our dog Ruby as a puppy and now as a younger dog. Mackienzie makes sure they are getting attention with either walks or does play time. She also made sure our two cats had attention while we were away.

If they are up to date on all vaccinations; no breed preferences. I would also want to know how active your dog is (I.e. Walks everyday, dog park, etc.), what time you typically feed your dog, and if your dog takes any medication.
A typical day
Walks around the neighborhood, playing with their favorite toys, downtime chilling on the couch, plenty of cuddles and belly scratches, and enrichment activities for dogs that need more stimulation!

Availability
I work full time in home health, so I am usually out and about during the day. This makes stopping by to drop in on your pets or take them on a walk easy! I have a flexible schedule so I can work around your needs. I am usually available all weekend, and am very flexible if overnight stays are required.
