Pet care experience
I have always had dogs in my house and I have always loved it! My family has had many different kinds of dogs over the years so I am familiar with many breeds and sizes and I personally just adopted two small girls last year. I will love every dog, inside and out. My mom is a successful positive dog trainer specializing in shy dogs so I am also very knowledgable with dogs that are shy or nervous. I am a college student so whenever I need to do homework I would be be happy to do it at your house and hang out with your pup! I am very flexible and would be so honored if I could have a few days a week to hang out with an amazing dog.

Mackenzie agreed to watch our dogs last minute and she was amazing! This was our first time using rover and we were nervous about having a stranger watch the dogs but she totally put our minds at ease. We got several detailed updates while we were gone and the dogs seemed happy when we got home!
Mackenzie is wonderful with animals, especially dogs. I am a positive dog trainer and Mackenzie has worked with me with sick dogs that I've fostered as well as constant care for our family dogs. She has worked with senior dogs as well as puppies. Because I am a trainer that specializes in helping fearful/nervous dogs, Mackenzie has been exposed to different challenges that dogs have as well as gaining the skills to think outside the box in order to ease a dog's fears. She knows how to read canine body language and will always put the needs of a dog ahead of anything else. She is a true dog lover!

A typical day
Our routine would consist of making sure your dog is comfortable with me and if it's OK with you we would start by giving your pup some treats when they sit or do other simple commands to build their confidence and show that I'm only there to love them! Then we would go on a walk or run or anything that makes your pup happy! One of my favorite places to go is the trails by Autzen stadium, tons of things to sniff! I would be able to check in on your dog multiple times a day and each could be about 45 minutes long but in the afternoon I could stay there as long as you need me! Your puppy will never be lonely if I'm watching them!
