Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of dogs every day since I was 12. We had two growing up. I took them on walks, made their food, prepared their medicine, bathed them, and was known as the mind reader in my house. One was very anxious, so I've had experience dealing with anxious dogs and know how to recognize when dogs need their space and when they want to play or snuggle!

Mackenzie dog sat for me during the pandemic and I could not have asked for a better dog sitter! She was not only Covid safe but also listened to my concerns as a first time puppy owner. She bonded right away with my dog and they did many activities together, including going for a walk and playing fetch. She even worked on a couple of commands/training her. My puppy was definitely a bit chaotic but Mackenzie did a great job calmly ignoring any unwanted behavior and positively reinforcing all the good ones.
MacKenzie is a wonderful and caring dog lover! She understands dog etiquette and has been known as a dog whisperer for many of her clients. She is punctual and reliable and a wonderful dog companion. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

In your home, I follow your rules. No pets on the furniture? We'll stay away. No pets upstairs or downstairs? We'll stay on the main floor! If they come into my apartment, there's a door to a balcony that is always locked, and I am able to keep your pet away from any household items and/or food that could harm them. I don’t have a crate, but I could crate pets if I had one.

Most important, how often would you like pictures sent to you? While I'm away from my dogs at university, I require pictures multiple times a day, so I am happy to provide the same to you! Does your dog take any medicine(s)? Is your dog anxious around new people and places? Is your dog aggressive around other animals? If I'm going to feed them, is there a special recipe you follow (ex., if you use multiple types of food)? If you would like to meet me and/or allow your dog to meet me before any services, I'm happy to do so!
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks in parks with big areas for them to run around. I love exploring new places, so if there are places near you you prefer to have dogs walked, I'm happy to go there. I also live near Forest Park, so that is an option, and I also live near a smaller park with a big grassy area. I love being outside in the woods, so if there are any woods with trails near you, I can also take dogs there!

Availability
I’m currently a full-time student but would love to help you in my free time. Weekends are usually pretty open and easy for me. Weekdays are a little trickier, but I can help out on Fridays and potentially other random blocks on other days, but I don't want to promise availability for that.
