Pet care experience
I've always loved animals and have grown up with them! My mom used to be a dog trainer, so I learned lots from her and am very comfortable with all dogs, big, small, old and young. I had many different pets growing up (corn snake, guinea pigs) and have pigs, chickens, cats and dogs at my parents house that I care for when I'm home. I rescued my dog Joe (the love of my life) for 4 years ago in Santa Barbara while I was at college! He is a very nervous guy so I do my best to take extra good care of him, and do a lot of training with him. While I'm adjusting to life in the city, he's living back in CA with my family so I am eager to spend some time with other pups! I am very knowledgable in dog training, @PacklifeLA on instagram is my favorite trainer and Joe and I have done a lot of work with her instruction to help him become a more confident, relaxed guy!

My partner and I went on a trip for almost a week and had Mackenzie drop in each day to check-in on our cat. Not only did Mackenzie follow all instructions perfectly and give live updates upon arrival, she was even able to make my shy cat feel so comfortable! She even came out and played with her a few times! Would definitely recommend Mackenzie! Thanks again :)
Mackenzie is a wonderful pet sitter. She's responsible and loves animals. She is also very knowledgeable about farm animals as well as domestic pets such as dogs and cats. You would be lucky to get her if you can.

I love all dogs! Big, small, old, young. I like to know what their favorite activity is, how much energy they normally have, and how friendly they are. I have experience with reactive, anxious, large, small, relaxed, energetic - dogs of all kinds! I am happy to provide more or less structure for your pup depending on their needs.
A typical day
I love a run/walk on the west side highway or just around town! I typically avoid dog parks with my pup but am happy to take yours there if desired. I like to get a few walks in every day and hang out at a park if the weather permits!

Availability
I'm a freelance photographer/videographer and barista, so my schedule for work is very flexible. I typically work in the evenings, so have the mornings free!
