Availability
From now until about mid-February, I will be working traditional 9-5 hours Monday through Friday. Any pets booked for house sitting should be comfortable being left unattended for the duration of the work day, but would be given the opportunity to use the bathroom immediately prior to my departure for work and immediately following my departure from work. Following that period, I will be working night shift hours Monday through Wednesday and would be able to accommodate a wider range of hours for drop-in visits and walks, but would not be able to spend the night at your home for pets booked for house sitting. If you have any questions about scheduling or just want clarity prior to booking, don’t hesitate to reach out :)

Routine is important to me, and it’s no doubt important to your pets! My primary goal is always to limit the amount of change, so feeding and potty break times will be strictly adhered to. If there’s valuable training you’ve worked hard to implement, it won’t go to waste! Don’t be shy about letting me know exactly which cues and commands to use, and any other little personality quirks I should know about.

Information MacKenzie G. would like to know about your pet
To give your pet the best care possible, I’d love to know about any quirks or idiosyncrasies that make them them! Please share their daily routine, feeding schedule, potty habits, favorite toys or activities, and any training cues you use. Let me know if they have any medical needs, reactivity triggers, fears, or things that make them especially happy (or stressed). The more I know ahead of time, the more comfortable and seamless their time with me will be!
A typical day
Each day with your pup follows a consistent and comforting routine. I start with a reliable morning wake-up or arrival time, followed by a potty break and breakfast. Throughout the day, we’ll stick to their usual feeding and potty schedule to keep things familiar and stress-free. If the weather cooperates, we’ll enjoy plenty of outdoor time - whether that’s a stroll around the neighborhood or a longer hike for active, able-bodied dogs. Indoors, there’s time for play, enrichment, and of course, plenty of cuddles and calm downtime. My goal is to keep your pet happy, relaxed, and well-cared for while you’re away.

**IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR CONSTANT CARE** Due to frequent requests for what is considered “constant care” (not house sitting), wherein you would like me to be with your pet for several consecutive hours without leaving, please submit a request for several back to back, hour long drop-in visits rather than a request for house sitting. This ensures I’m adequately compensated for my time as I would be unable to attend to other pets during this time! For example, if you would like me to watch your pet for three hours straight (9a-12p), you would book three x 1 hour drop-in visits: one from 9a-10a, one from 10a-11a, and one from 11a-12p. My drop-in rates include pricing for hour long visits that reflect the attention given during these visits; it may seem pricey, but you are paying for my undivided attention! ———————————————————— Hi! I’m MacKenzie, your pet’s new best friend and part-time squirrel scout. While I might not have a fancy pet-sitting degree, I’ve grown up with dogs and cats, and my own dog (a.k.a. my four-legged child) has taught me plenty about basic training, reactivity, and the art of treating every leaf like it’s a masterpiece. I’m also a pro at giving meds and following care instructions to a T, so your pet’s routine won’t miss a beat. Plus, as an avid hiker, I’m more than happy to take active pups on day hikes for a little extra adventure! I get that every walk is a big deal, every squirrel is a personal nemesis, and if there’s a cat involved, they’re probably running the household. And yes, I’m here for my own steps too, because walking is my therapy!
Reviews

Mack has watched our 2 dogs twice over the last couple months and when I told our dogs that Mack was coming to watch them, they were VERY EXCITED!!!! Mack is not only awesome with our dogs but she is stellar with communication and keeps us informed about her visits with great detail which makes us feel much better about leaving our fur babies! We highly recommend Mack to watch your pets, you won’t be disappointed!
MacKenzie G. cancelled a booking 2 days before it was scheduled to begin.

Mack is simply superb! Mack did drop- ins for our 2 dogs while we were away for a long wknd; we’d never used Rover before and our first experience was excellent. The Rover “cards” you receive after each visit provide a great update on your fur babies and removes the need to continuously reach out & ask for updates. Mack is an excellent communicator, her Rover Card updates gave our entire family a good laugh each time we received one! Mack was on time for each visit and treated our dogs as if they were her own - we moved a Ring camera inside so we could occasionally say hi to our dogs and check on them (we disclosed this to Mack so she was aware); our dogs absolutely loved her, tails wagged each time she came and lots of dog kisses were exchanged! We will be using Mack again!
She was incredibly professional and kind. Did everything we asked and put up with our pain in the butt for 4 days with no complaints. Left the house as clean (if not cleaner) than she found it. Communicative throughout the process. She's at the top of our list!
