Hello! My name is Mackenzie. I am new to the Rover app, but have had pets most of my life! My first dog was a black lab mix, and my second dog was part shih tzu, part lhasa apso. She lived to be 16 years old and sadly passed away a couple years ago. I have taken care of many different friends’ and neighbors’ dogs and cats numerous times, including dog and house sitting a week or so at a time. I also help my sister out when she needs me to take care of her mini golden doodle puppy. My husband and I would like to get a dog in the future, but at the moment we just have guppies!

As always, Mackenzie did a great job dropping in to look after our dog, letting her play outside, giving her lots of belly rubs, and letting her go potty while we had to be out of town for the day. Our Piper just LOVES her and we love knowing that she’s in good hands when we can’t be with her. Thank you, Mackenzie!!

My husband and I have a large fenced backyard. My sister’s dog loves running around and playing fetch with us! He’ll also run up and down the fence “chasing” our neighbor’s dog. I’m also happy to take your dog on walks! Please let me know if you have any specific instructions or requests for taking care of your pet(s).

I’d appreciate any information that you think may be of value for me to best take care of your dog! Some examples of what I have been told in the past is about the dog’s personality (shy, friendly, afraid of…, etc.), how far of a walk s/he can take, and certain behaviors to expect.
A typical day
I am happy to play and cuddle with your dog. We can play fetch, tug-of-war, etc. I am also happy to take him or her on walks!

I am a teacher, so I would love to take care of your pets whenever you need me over the summer! Generally, my summer schedule should be pretty flexible.
