I have been around animals since I was born. My grandparents own a farm and since the time I could walk in rubber boots I was out in the barn and fields with my grandfather helping to take care of the cows. I bottle fed calves when I was young and never stopped helping around the farm. I’ve had dogs my entire life and in middle school I raised and trained my dear lab, Carly, on my own. I competed in 4-H dog shows for years and learned a lot about how to leash train. I now have a Westie, named Calvin, who is my baby. I have experience potty training and trick training - nothing big but learning to sit, stay, shake, and roll over. I work full time but as I have my own dog at home I do have the ability to come home at lunch and let your pet out for a nice walk at lunch and I hurry home for a stroll, sometimes to the dog park, when I get off work. I’m flexible with my schedule and can make almost anything work. I live in an apartment but we have a nice balcony that my own dog enjoys laying on during the day. We have dog parks nearby and we enjoy strolling along the Monon as well. My dog Calvin LOVES other dogs and is always happy to make a new friend. We have lots of toys and treats - if allowed by you of course - to spoil new friends with. Calvin does not enjoy running with me as much as I would hope so if your pet does enjoy a good run let me know, I would love to take them on a jog! I also have a roommate who is great with dogs and works different hours than I do so she is available to let pets out when needed as well.
