COVID-19 VACCINATED From chickens and rats to cats and dogs—plus my current gecko—I have almost always had pets in my care. I understand how strong the bond between pet and owner is, and will make sure your pet is given all the love and attention they need while you are out of town, with regular photo updates. Beyond personal pets, I have been a volunteer at High Country Humane since 2019, and Second Chance Center for Animals before that. As a foster parent, I have cared for and trained puppies as young as three months, worked with timid cats, taking my time to gain their trust, and have cared for mother cats with kittens as young as a week old, providing supplemental bottle feeding as needed.

Mackenzie was absolutely amazing. She sent pictures and walked our dogs daily. This was the first time I was able to relax on a vacation knowing our dogs were taken care of. I will use her for all future house sitting and dog sitting services in the future.
MacKenzie took such good care of our house and dogs when we were away! The pets were happy and healthy and the house was clean when we returned. Especially appreciated that she was flexible and easy to work with when I figured out I had screwed up our travel dates. I recommend her 100%!

While taking care of your dog or cat, I aim to keep their schedule as consistent as possible and give them plenty of love. If they have a lot of energy to expend, we can go for long walks around the neighborhood in the morning and evening, or take a day trip to a hiking trail or the dog park to play fetch. For dogs that are more on the mellow side, I’m more than happy to simply keep them company in whatever way they prefer. If you have a cat, I will go at their own pace to let them know I am a friend if they are nervous around new people, and can sit with a cat on my lap for hours or play with toys.

A typical day
I love to meet pets where they are. Whether it's a cat or dog in a shelter environment or a pet missing their owners, I will work with them to make sure they are comfortable and have enough enrichment opportunities to thrive. Sunset walks at Buffalo Park are a great way to wind down from the day, and day hikes are always fun if we need more exercise beyond neighborhood walks.
