I've had dogs all my life growing up and have been drawn to work with dogs as I've gotten older. I just graduated from the University of Vermont in 2015 with a self-designed degree in Holistic Health & Integrative Medicine. Ever since I was 10 years old, I have been taking care of dogs in my neighborhood and for friends and family. I have 2 dogs at my home in Connecticut where I grew up. We have a Pit Bull Terrier and a German Shepard Rottweiler mix. I trained my Pit Bull extensively growing up because he started showing some aggressive behavior as a puppy. When I was able to shift my energy around him and teach the rest of my family how to behave around him, his behavior shifted dramatically and he is much more calm now. I've been practicing Reiki for 7 years now and feel as though this has helped me to tune into dogs emotions and work with their behavior on a deeper level. I find it so fascinating to communicate with dogs and read their body language. They are some of our greatest teachers!
