Pet care experience
Dogs discovered me. Somehow dogs have shown me that I'm a natural dog person. My bosses dogs have been coming to the office for years. They fell in love with me because I could juggle working while connecting with them regularly, taking them out on long, uninterrupted or rushed walks where I met them where they were at, allowing them the space and time to know that the walk is for them and about them and what they wanted to explore, sniff, or ponder. I love meeting pets where they are at. Giving them the support and care that only a trusted family member would offer them. I love cats, dogs, farm animals, llamas, reptiles, and birds. I have the flexibility to work remotely which allows me to spend quality time with your pets and make it worth the effort to hire a care taker. I am extremely clean, organized, and can multi-task.

Lyvonne housesits and dog sits for me whenever I leave town. She is dependable, honest, kind and very good with my 2 dogs. In fact, whenever we see each other and my dogs are with me, they run to her wagging their tails! She's become one of their favorite people! My dogs are always happy and in good health when I return from vacation and my house is clean and well cared for as well. I highly recommend Lyvonne as a pet and house sitter!

My daughter and I have always had pets and now that she in college, our pets live with her in Chicago. This allows me to use the wisdom and flexibility of my new work schedule to care for your pets in the way that only a trusted member of your community would. I am a home owner and have a long history of having my own pets. Now that my daughter is in college, I am able to love many animals for other people while allowing myself the freedom to travel without the commitment of needing to support my own animal at home. I can have the best of all worlds through travel, pet/house sitting, and taking time for myself.

I like to know how the dogs respond to other dogs, cats and people in general. I like to know their overall temperament and disposition so I can protect them and others if they are particular. Medication and special treatments are important to ensure they are successful in continuing any healing or health regiments they require.
A typical day
I have lived in Ventura for 10-years now. I have many trails and beaches I enjoy visiting depending on the pet I am sitting. For the older fellas with less stamina and physical limitations, I go with routines and walks they are comfortable with. For the younger ones that have a lot of energy, I love taking them to trails in Ojai, Ventura Arroyo Grande, Montecito Hot Springs trail, Gaviota Wind Tunnels trails, Goleta Butterfly Grove and beach trails. I fit the day to the animal I am with.

Availability
I am generally pet or house sitting through Rover or Trusted House Sitters services while I work. I work remote and can login to complete my job tasks while taking breaks regularly to connect with the pets, get outside to get fresh air, walks, and go potty. I am someone who appreciates routines and respects giving pets the care and support they need and are a part of their consistent routines. I can adapt easily to any routine and juggle it in with my work.
