WFH Creatives on 2.5 acres
Pet care experience
My husband works at home full time writing and producing music, I work from home 3 days a week, out of the home 2 days managing a local spa. Between the two of us, you can rest assured your pet should never be alone! We make our own schedules everyday and love to have extra animals around to play with our Bernese, Theodore, and to keep us both company. Our home is a split level, mid century A frame tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in the woods. It is a shady wooded retreat on 2.5 acres with a large fenced yard. We have a creek that runs through the back of our property as well as a campsite outside of the fenced area that is great for walks when the weather is nice. We have a large deck on the second level and a covered lower patio. Our 4 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Theodore, is the friendliest teddy bear who loves making friends big or small! He is neutered and not territorial or aggressive in any way but we are happy to keep him separated if you would like. We only take 1 pet, sometimes 2 if from the same home, at a time. Most importantly, the dogs we choose to watch generally lay around with us while we work or play with our dog Theodore most of the day while we are working on music, etc. Any pet that will require constant attention (i.e whining, barking from separation anxiety) is disruptive to our work and music. We hope to get to love on your pet but want to make sure it is a good fit! In summary, if they do require more constant attention it may not be a good fit so just want to make sure so they are super comfy here with us 😊👍🏼 VACCINATIONS: Please bring a copy (or send photos) of your pet's current vaccination records and flea/tick medication your pet is being administered. We are happy to administer their dosage to keep them on schedule during their stay if needed! PICK UP/DROP OFF: We board based on a 24hour schedule. Meaning, any pick up 6-12 hours after 24hours (based on when you drop off), will be a half day fee per pet. (Traditional kennels charge a full rate for late pick ups.) Happy to discuss this further if you'd have any questions or concerns! ACCIDENTS: If your pet is NOT potty trained, please pack cleaning wipes or puppy pads for their stay. Alternatively, there is a $10 fee per accident for any accidents during their stay. Always happy to discuss this further if you have any issues or concerns. :) BATHS: We are happy to bathe and brush your pup for you before pick up to send them home nice and clean! A bath is $25 and brushing for an additional $5. We use hypoallergenic oatmeal shampoo and have both a long tooth brush as well as a furminator depending on their coat type, but are happy to use any supplies you pack for them! Lastly, Rover does not cover destruction of property during your pet's stay - please let me know if they have any tendencies we should be aware of during their stay to protect our home from damage such as scratching at doors, chewing baseboards, digging, licking furniture, etc. This will not deter us from accepting them, rather, it will just help us be sure to keep a closer eye and block/cover any tempting areas. :) Please know that by booking with us, you are acknowledging all of these details and being held financially responsible for any damages. In summary, we would LOVE to care for your pet and give them lots of love and attention! I know they will love it here! Please come by for a meet and greet! ***COVID19 UPDATE:**** We’ve decided to take an extra COVID precaution to protect everyone boarding with us by asking anyone visiting for pick up, drop off, or a meet and greet, to wear a mask while indoors. (We have extra disposable masks if you forget yours!) We also have a natural disinfectant made of essential oils we can spritz on the dogs before they explore the house/meet other dogs if you feel comfortable. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you! Let us know if you have any questions or suggestions!
Reviews
Lynsea and her husband were amazing! We had another sitter cancel last minute and had to scramble and they were willing to take care of our Jake. We highly recommend and will be using them again.
Lynsea did a great job caring for Rooster. Daily updates and videos really helped ease my mind as this was the first time Rooster has stayed here. Accommodations were made in consideration of Rooster’s arthritis to help him avoid the stairs which we both appreciated! Daily medications and a special diet were all handled without a blink of an eye! I feel they were genuinely glad to have Rooster stay and went out of their way to make him comfortable. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! I would definitely leave Rooster with Lynsea again❤️
Lynsea and her husband gladly watched Oscar for me although it was super short noticed. Oscar always has a great time over there and loves playing with their pup! Would definitely recommend!!
Lynsea was excellent with our dog. Plenty of pictures during our trip and our dog looked right at home when we picked him up. We will definitely use Lynsea again on future boardings!

We have a fenced yard, and although our deck has about 15 steps, we can also take your pet through the front yard for potty and walks to eliminate the steps if needed.

How are they with other pets? Have they ever shown any signs of aggression or anxiety? Any specific things to make them feel more at home?
A typical day
Constant attention, play time with our Bernese if you’d like, walks through property (we even have a creek), freedom to play in large back yard, shady sunbathing on our deck or in doors as we get sun and lots of light through our large windows..

We have a routine established for our own pet, Theodore, so generally adding another to the mix is an easy addition! Plus, Theodore loves the company!
