The Johnson's , very pet friendly.

Pet care experience

Hello, My name is Lynn and here at the Johnson family we have two dogs named Kali and Abigail. Cody Bear and Buttons have passed away, and they will forever be missed. Why I love dog sitting: I was brought up with Doberman Pincher show dogs, and have always owned dogs from pure breads to mutts. Some of my loneliest times in my life have been when I did not have a dog in it. Now I am happy, because I have my Abigail and Kali and will be able to enjoy yours while they visit. Meet my pets: Here at the Johnson Family our pets are our passion and priority. They are filled with lots of love and snuggles. Abigail is a 4 month old teacup Yorkie, and Kali is a 5 year old Pomeranian and long hair Chihuahua. *****All dogs must be picked up by 6 pm or you need to book an extra night.****** *****ALL DOGS MUST BE CLEAN, BATHED AND FLEA FREE******** About my yard: We have 3 fenced in yards. No grass at this time due to drought. One fenced in patio with plenty of room for small dogs to roam and run. The pets kept in my home are treated as they were my own. Full of love, fun, exercise, and snuggles. They are also respected for their boundaries. WHAT TO BRING: 1.) Food and snacks / Paper bowls for feeding 2.) Toys 3.) Bed and blankets 4.) Potty pads, and potty bags 5.) And please mark all your dogs belongings. 6.) MALE WRAPS ( 3 per day ) I am home most of the time, except for a few classes and errands, so your dogs must be able to be alone for at least 4 hours. Your dogs are treated with lots of love, snuggles, fun and respect for their boundaries. I do not take care of constant barkers, or untrained dogs.

Lynn was wonderful!! She really cared about our special needs rescue dog. Our dog has all kinds of fears and is very anxious, especially when away from us and with strangers, so we were a bit anxious ourselves! But Lynn kept us updated and even sent us a few pictures of her while we were gone. 5 stars across the board!!

Lynn is a wonder caring human and loves dogs. She was wonderful with my puppy and Truman had the time of his life playing with Abby and Cali. She is very responsive and I highly recommend her. I will use her again for overnight trips and play dates. She is truly a blessing.

I'm sorry this review is very long overdue. But I'm not sorry I booked a stay with Lynn for OD; she was fantastic! Our usual pet sitter was unavailable so I was thrilled when we found Lynn and the meet and greet cemented the fact that she's is a kind and caring person. Lynn's yard provided OD with plenty to keep her engaged — especially watching the birds — and she didn't have to climb up stairs. Lynn sent photos so that Penny and I could see that OD was enjoying her staycation at Lynn's place. Will definitely book with Lynn the next time the opportunity arises!

Unfortunately, we found working with Lynn was a nightmare and do not recommend her. She has many reviews but please take a moment to hear us out. After booking with Lynn we've concluded that she is lacking in professionalism, transparency, and communication. While we were out of the country for 2 weeks, Lynn sent us updates but did not provide any details on how our dog was doing unless we explicitly asked. For example, one update consisted of 1 photo that was used from the update 2 days before, with windows photoshopped onto it and a song lyric from the 50’s with no actual update on our dog. At one point, we asked a few questions about poops and potty since those were areas we were concerned about (mentioned on pet bio or M&G). When we asked Lynn "how are her poops looking?", Lynn gave a vague description of "brown, smelly, soft, fills a bag" which describes most poop. We then asked whether it was diarrhea or well-formed, and Lynn sent us an extremely blurry photo of very runny diarrhea that looked bloody (but the photo was so blurry we couldn’t tell), and said "You decide." Since blood in stools is always a reason for concern, we asked if our dog was getting probiotics as instructed and whether she ate anything she wasn't supposed to (which she frequently does), so that we can rule out diet changes. Lynn said "YES she is getting her fortiflora and is only eating her own food. You know what, it might be time for you to come home early and take her home. It really bothers me to be doubted as a caregiver for her.” She also accused us of micromanaging her and not letting her do her job. Lynn knew that we were overseas and not just 30 minutes away. We could not just hop on the next flight back just because Lynn was personally offended by us asking clarifying questions about our dog. Her behavior felt threatening, passive aggressive, and extremely unprofessional. We ultimately decided the best course of action is to deescalate. We apologized and and thanked her for taking care of our dog multiple times. After discussing with our vet separately, we engaged in minimal contact with Lynn for the rest of the trip because we felt extremely uncomfortable with further interaction. Our interactions with Lynn caused us an immense amount of anxiety over our dog's health and condition. We felt that we weren't allowed to check up on the wellness of our dog without fear of retaliation from Lynn. Our recommendation is that if you are looking for a sitter who is communicative and professional, it would be best to look elsewhere.

Time I'll spend with your dog: I will be with your dogs all the time except for a few classes and errands. Your dogs must be able to be home alone for at least 4 hours. I DO NOT WALK DOGS.
