I have had pets all my life. I adopted my first dog at age 8. We also had 3 cats, two rabbits, a snake and several other wonderful creatures that filled my childhood with joy. I was raised on a farm and am comfortable with all animals. My career path lead me to teach persons with special needs. We always had a classroom pet or two. For a while I worked with a husky rescue group and fostered many Siberian Huskies. I also raised two of my own. My younger furbaby Shamu was trained to be a therapy dog. He was amazing. He would sit quietly among a group of children and no matter what they were going through he would provide them comfort. Many breeds of dogs have come to live with me and I have loved them all. After I Retired the parents of my former students ask me if I could dog/house sit for them. I was overjoyed as my last dog had just passed away. I was extremely busy with sitting and loved every minute of it. I have cared for Dogs, cats, turtles, ferrets, rats, goats, chickens, pigs and many others. I once had a job caring for 5 goats, 8 dogs, 3 cats, a cow, some chickens and 2 rats. I have to be honest my niece came with me for those 2 weeks. I have now moved to Florida full time and would like to start here. I keep getting asked to come back to PA to dog sit and I would like to stay put here as much as possible. Thank you I can assure you that I will care for your pets as they were my own. I am CPR certified and have all my clearances. I can provide many references. I do not have my own dog now this keeps my schedule open to care for your pets and travel. I will work with you on any schedule you may have. I am willing to be flexible as long as I am not booked for someone else. My home if needed can accommodate a small to medium size dog. My association has several breed restrictions. I mostly would prefer for the pets sake to provide care in your home but I am flexible and open to possibilities.
