Active and Knowledgeable Dog Lover!

Pet care experience

Hi there! I'm Lyndsey and I have grown up around dogs my entire life. Until I was about 17, I wanted to be a vet, so absolutely devoured any information related to animals, especially dogs, and their health, training, and breed behaviors, so I understand dogs on a different level than many. I understand a majority of dog-behaviors and can make special accommodations - just communicate anything you might need. I have also done a decent amount of volunteer work at a Golden Retriever rescue when I lived in Atlanta, GA (Adopt A Golden - Atlanta), and have done a lot of dog watching for my friends here in Ohio. I own a large home that I work from home out of with a large open yard in the back. The yard is fenced in, and we will be making upgrades to the fencing soon. Because I am home all day, I am able to exercise and play with dogs more often. This house is full of toys and chews to keep your pup occupied, as well as Shandy, my golden cocker-retriever, who absolutely loves other dogs and understands whether or not they want to play. I promise your dog will not leave here bored! My only restriction is that dogs must be dog-friendly, as I have said, Shandy will be home at the same time. This only applies for boarding and daycare pups!

Lyndsey had my 7 month old st. bernard for a very long time and he did fantastic with her! He was worn out when he got home which is perfect for me!! She let me know everything that was going on throughout the day. I also got very cute pictures! I definitely recommend her and cooper will be back!!

Information Lyndsey C. would like to know about your pet

Need to know of any allergies. We keep a clean-eating household (dogs do not get human food, dog treats are typically grain-free, high-protein, etc), so can easily accommodate for any special dietary needs. Need to know quirks. You know what I mean. That weird thing your dog always does whenever (doorbell rings, you leave the room, garage door opens, other dogs walk by, etc) happens. It isn't going to change much, but being forewarned is being forearmed. Whether or not they can be trusted alone. Whether or not they can be trusted with food on the table/counters, whether or not they can be trusted with garbage cans, etc. No breed preferences!

A typical day

My house itself is overflowing with dog toys, as I can't help but spoil Shandy with Barkboxes. She is an avid "fetcher" of anything that can be thrown, so if that is up your dog's alley, they can race each other in the back yard for as long as my arm holds up throwing! The neighborhood I live in is large, with a number of miles of quiet roads to walk on. I also have easy transportation in my Jeep (equipped with hammock for safety and comfort!) and can easily get to Voice of America Park, Keehner Park (swimming available too!), Wetlands Park and Liberty Park. Voice of America also has a dog park that we can access, should your dog prefer some freedom to roam and sniff! I am very active myself, so depending on the activity level of your dog, can walk or run to their heart's content. Just let me know if they have any health restrictions and what your goals are for them! Otherwise, because I work from home, your pup will rarely be left alone (except trips to the gym or store), and we love a good long snuggle in the evening before bedtime.
