Full Time Dog Sitters and Love it!
Pet care experience
Happy with Rover since 2016 July 2021 We have boys ages 14 & 12, Piper (blue heeler/Aussie Mix, 4 yr as of Feb 9) and Pilot, our dog in a cat suit. Dogs should be comfortable with kids, cats, and other dogs. We do occasionally host more than one client at time. Our yard is NOT fenced however we do not let dogs outside unattended and follow leash requirements per owners guidelines. We do have a dog run set up too. We back up to a preserve and this is our playground for exercise in early morning and evening. Update Sept 2017: We just survived Hurricane Irma last weekend. We stayed and provided shelter for 4 cats and 3 dogs. We were able to do this by requiring each dog had a crate, leash with name tag, vet info, and food for at least a week. The cats required a crate as well, although we had two spare big dog crates, the cats came in pairs, and had enough room in each crate for their litter box and sleep/feed area. We were very fortunate that we didn't loose power. We did have a emergency plan in case we did loose power, or needed to seek shelter elsewhere. Updated Feb 2017: We have been officially dog sitting for over a year with Rover! All the time we are asked if we have gotten a dog because we always have dogs over for the day or overnight stays. We really enjoy dog sitting and feel we have several dogs now because of repeat clients. Holidays are the busiest, for everyone, even pet sitters. This past Thanksgiving we took care of 7 in our home and 3 next door; at Christmas we had 5 stay over for doggie vacations. We have yet to have any quarrels between animals, kitties included and due to the respect of each animal between them and us. While we have our own dog in a cat suite, she prances around without worry, and still has a retreat to go to when she's had enough. We've also had a pair of dogs that brought a cat with them, while this is typically not the case, in the length of stay they were all welcome, and did great. We've had a wide variety of dogs, and love to learn about them all. Each is unique and every dog is unique just as their owners are. We try to provide the same level of care that they would receive at home. Light grooming is also available, one of our repeat clients requests the dogs be brushed daily, and of course they are in heaven during brushing time. Baths have also been given when a longer stay is planned. Posted Jan 2016: Growing up on a farm in TN, having many kinds of animals, dogs have always been apart of my life. We had Australian Shepherds, Irish Setters, Miniature Pincher, and when we lived in Hawaii, we adopted a dog. My husband also grew up with dogs. Currently we don't have our own dog, but fill the need for doggy time taking care of other's. Our two boys, currently 9 and 6, also love helping to take care of doggies.
Reviews
Lyndsay and her family were fabulous. This was our first time leaving our mini Goldendoodle with anyone other than family. Lyndsay sent me photos and kept me updated daily. I would absolutely use Lyndsay again.
Second stay for my 2 pups with Lyndsay and they couldn’t wait to get in her house and see who they had to play with this trip. Love the service and care the family supplies.

A typical day
We back up to a preserve, and at the beginning and end of day, we have full access to walk the dogs. We have loads of tennis balls and Frisbees as well as the famous Chuckit.
