We have a 15 year old shih tzu who is very laid back and sleeps the majority of the day. He no longer plays with other dogs, but he has a HUGE toy box and is willing to share. We love to play and cuddle with other calm and house trained dogs that get along with ours. We can watch two small dogs, or one large dog. This allows us to provide the attention they deserve and ensure everyone gets lap time. Due to our senior dog, we prefer no hyperactive dogs that jump on other dogs to play. We request a meeting with our dog outside of our home at a neutral location (normally a local park) to make sure everyone gets along and the dogs are comfortable with each other. I also recommend that you bring something that smells like home to make your dog comfortable like a blanket or toy. We are very adept at giving a dog pills or shots. If your dog has a food allergy, please let us know. My retired mother or I am almost always home. If we leave the house my husband stays with the dogs so someone is always home. Your dog can be crated in a separate room at night if you require it, but if they are comfortable with it, they can sleep on a dog bed in our room or on the bed if they like to cuddle. I will send you at least one picture per day on rover and I can also send photos and updates of your furbaby by email or text if you like. I also make and sell dog bandanas, and with your permission, could possibly use your dog as a model for my Etsy store. If your dog stays with us, plan on them being spoiled rotten!
