Responsible Easy Going Pet Sitter!
Pet care experience
Hi there! My names Lydia and I have over 10 years experience in caring for family pets. I currently work from home which means I get to spend my day with my two favorite boys! Meyer and Charlie are both medium size dogs with big dog personalities/energy! They love to play with friends whether it be daycare at my home or an overnight stay with our family! Working from home gives me the availability to be around full time for your pets needs. I am available for drop in visits, dog walking and housesitting as well. I mostly have done housesitting around the Gardnerville area from 2016 to 2019. In 2020 I moved temporarily to Alaska to be with my husband while he finished his last year in the Army. In Alaska we added Meyer and Charlie to our family. We moved to the Dayton area in 2021. We have about an acre fenced property that the boys and I love to walk around and play in!
Reviews
From the first time I met Lydia and her husband, I felt that Blossom would be in good hands. She sent me pictures and messages to assure me! Blossom has separation anxiety and it is always hard for me to hand her over to someone else. Thank you Lydia for taking care of my sweet dog!
Lydia came over on very short notice to help me out. She was very sensitive to my puppy's shyness and took the time to let her become comfortable with her. Lydia was terrific and always kept me updated on how she was doing. I will definitely have her help me out again!! Lydia is wonderful!!

If care is provided in my home I am always around. I live on about an acre of fenced property. Although I do not let my dogs out alone as sometimes Charlie can be an escape artist. Usually on my breaks we will go out and walk for about 15 minutes or play and then come back inside. For dog walks and drop in visits I make sure that when I am entering the home I make my presence known. I check for sufficient water and food (if the free feed). When we go on walks I ensure that their collars are nice and snug and have a good leash. I do always check with my families if they have any concerns or questions. I update frequently with photos and videos via text. When I am housesitting I have one major rule and that is always leave the home in better shape than when you arrived. Being a pet owner I have had my own experience with good and bad pet sitters. Those experiences and being a pet owner myself I know what I would expect from a sitter and provide that if not better care.

Information Lydia Z. would like to know about your pet
Important information I request about a dog ahead of time is whether or not they are friendly with other dogs, if they are housetrained, what their history is, and if the pet owners has any concerns.
A typical day
My day starts at about 6:30 in the morning. Both of our dogs are kennel trained and sleep in their kennels at night so we get up and go outside immediately to go potty. When we come back in Meyer is very much on his schedule and asks for his breakfast at about 8 AM. My workday starts at 8 AM as well. I get two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch. On all of those bricks we go outside and walk around and play in the yard. My day typically ends @ 4:30pm. After that it’s free time for outside play and cuddles!
