Experienced, loving Pet Sitter
Pet care experience
Until I was 18 years old I lived on a farm in a small town, so pet care is second nature to me. With both my own pets and others, I have been taking care of animals for over 15 years. After high school I saved money by farm and pet sitting, with everything from chickens and ducks to horses and goats to dogs and cats and guinea pigs. Throughout my life we’ve had many litters of puppies and kittens, so I have experience with a wide range of ages as well. I love all animals as if they are my own and can guarantee I will treat your animals with nothing but love and care. I can’t wait to meet your furry friends and family members!
Reviews
As someone who loves to travel, I am so grateful to have Lydia to call-on when I'm unable to bring my pup with me. She loves my doggo as though he were her own, and it's such a relief to know he's with someone that loves and cares for him as much as I do while I'm away. Lydia is a delight - thoughtful, communicative, and responsible, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter!
Lydia T. is, without a doubt in my mind, the most devoted dog-lover I've ever known (and I've pet dogs and met dog parents from here to Burma). I'm sure that, if she had the chance, she'd happily become a puppy just so she could lay in the sun and wag her tail without a worry in the world. She has cared for dogs on and off for her entire life, including dozens of puppies—born in her own family home. She has an innate bond with dogs, she understands them—a feeling which, when it comes to Lydia, dogs often reciprocate. All in all, if you're looking for someone to take care of ol' Sparky; maybe you need Benedict to be taken for a stroll, or perhaps little Philip is in need of cuddles and attention; look no further. You will admire Lydia's respect and love for dogs, almost as much as you'll enjoy her sunny smile and witty, tongue-in-cheek humor.

Safety, trust & environment
Before a pet comes to stay with me, I inform all members of my household and dispose of any food toxic to dogs (grapes, chocolates, onions, etc). Additionally, I do a full house cleaning to make sure the area is ready for them!

Information Lydia T. would like to know about your pet
I like to know the dogs habits, quirks, and how they act around other dogs, so I can pick the best time to walk them. I also like to know any specific food or medication needs so I can be sure to have that down.
A typical day
I love taking pups on long walks and plying fetch with them, if they want to! I'm active myself so always appreciate a buddy to do things with. Aside from that, I'm happy to hang out with an older pup on the couch too.

Availability
I typically work nights and weekends, with a lot of my job being remote. Because of this I'm able to adjust to your pet's schedule for their optimal care.
